@JDShuttlesworth The “repenting for the sins of the nation” is just a form of mass virtue signaling without Christ. It’s an academically minded idea but not a biblical one. Kind of in the same vein as feeling guilty and apologizing for being white because of privledge. Thanks for clarifying!

🚨 REMEMBER THIS THE NEXT TIME THERE IS A GATHERING WHERE YOU ARE TOLD TO REPENT TO GOD FOR THE SINS OF YOUR NATION: The New Testament does not present the believer as someone trying to appease an angry God on behalf of a nation. It presents Christ as the One who already did that. Here are the major New Testament reasons: 1.Jesus Already Bore the Judgment The New Covenant message is not: “Beg God not to judge us.” It is: “Jesus already took the judgment.” “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT “He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.” — 1 John 2:2 NLT That is propitiation. 2.The Believer Is Never Told to Repent for the Sins of Other People In the Old Covenant, men like Daniel, Ezra, and Nehemiah identified with national Israel under a covenant nation structure. But in the New Covenant: salvation is individual, righteousness is individual, judgment is individual, and reconciliation comes through Christ. The apostles never gathered the church and said: “Repent for Rome’s immorality.” “Repent for Nero.” “Repent for pagan corruption.” Instead they preached: “Repent and believe the Gospel.” The New Testament Places the Solution in Preaching the Gospel—Not National Self-Atonement Paul never taught the churches: “Get on your face and beg God not to destroy Corinth.” He taught: preach Christ, cast out devils, heal the sick, disciple people, live holy, and advance the Kingdom. 3.The church is called to be light in darkness, not a guilt sponge for society. “You are the light of the world.” — Matthew 5:14 NLT Propitiation Means God’s Justice Was Fully Satisfied This is the key point. If Jesus truly became the propitiation for sin, then believers are not trying to repeatedly satisfy divine anger through public sorrow ceremonies. “When I see the blood, I will pass over you.” — Exodus 12:13 KJV 4.Under the New Covenant, God relates to the believer through the finished work of Christ. “And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.” — Romans 5:9 NLT 5.The Apostolic Pattern Was Boldness—Not Corporate Guilt Rituals The book of Acts is filled with: preaching, miracles, joy, power, boldness, church growth, and territorial victory. Not Christians endlessly apologizing to God for the culture around them. The early church confronted darkness with authority, not national shame ceremonies. “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV An ambassador represents another Kingdom. The church is not called to absorb Babylon’s guilt; it is called to invade Babylon with the Gospel.

Camila cried this morning that she didn’t want me to leave, so I picked her up from school. Had dinner together. And she’s joining me for church tonight in Kentucky. We’ll minister and be home by midnight—then I’ll take her to school in the morning. A jet removes the choice between spending time with family and working for The Lord. A true blessing! Over 1,000 extra days with my wife and daughter ❤️

Finding a YouTube channel where my tweets are read aloud by a horrified religious person was like Christmas in February for me.

@JDShuttlesworth Well said, sir in a country that has a working system. Ministry in Nigeria 🇳🇬 can be frustrating. I am a ministry person as well and it takes the rich to do ministry and not the thriving. In between I was blessed by your ministration at WOFBEC 2026.

@JDShuttlesworth I’m so glad you answered the call to be a preacher and evangelist. God has positioned you to shatter strongholds. I love the sarcasm, it’s cheeky and comes from a good place. The haters are gonna hate.

@kenneth_lo92895 No, luxury goods are almost always a wasteful and unnecessary use of cash when something similar can be bought for less.
