@GoodOlBillDoyle That’s not even remotely accurate. You may want to go back, do a bit more research, and revisit the facts before making claims like that.

@TaraArmstrongBC And then you proposed taxing people more because they are older, regardless of whether they were poor or disadvantaged. With that, you lost any and all credibility. Pathetic.

For months, the NDP has been under fire for Bill 9, a major attack on BC’s FOI laws. This past week, Dallas Brodie, Amelia Boultbee, and Elenore Sturko helped give them political cover. The three of them voted for an NDP motion designed to create the illusion that the government was backing away from its assault on public transparency. The motion removed language about requests interfering with “government” operations, but left intact the government’s ability to deny any requests deemed too costly, time-consuming, “repetitious”, “systematic”, “abusive”, or “broad”. That covers off virtually every request for records that the government doesn’t want you to have, which is why this motion is an obvious PR play by the NDP. Not an actual fix. It helps Eby’s NDP pretend to respect the public while pushing through a bill that demolishes public access to information. Why are these former Conservatives helping them do it?

Bill 20, the K'omoks Treaty Act, is a scam against British Columbian taxpayers. Tens of millions of dollars given yearly to a band of only 340 people. I broke the absurd numbers down in the Legislature when no other MLA would.

@therealmrbench Kerry-Lynne. Only true Conservative, has battled property rights against Musqueam years ago protecting her own home. Only candidate with no past ties to a group. Yuri advocated for indigenous rights. Caroline’s PR and $$ is based in Ontario, that should be a warning

@ShareawareCdn What is strange is her missing the 5 votes we had on the late night filibuster, and then in this scenario, she voted with the NDP...

@m_snoddon @P_Ratchford @DefendTheFlagBC The math shows 3 possible floor crossers. Sturko and boultbee are not surprising, but Dallas... Works good for the NDP, so I guess your bosses are happy, Snoddon.

@wyatt_claypool Amelia Boultbee and Dallas: besties one minute, sworn enemies the next. 😂 At this point nobody knows what the strategy is, including Wyatt.

Tara doesn't understand how politics works. Bill 9 sucks but you can still vote for an amendment that makes it even 1% less bad while still voting against the overall bill on Second and Third reading. How about Tara bothers to do her job and properly advocates for an issue. Last time she tried to speak against an NDP bill she started rambling about "cannibalism" and "night raids" when speaking about Bill 20, making herself look like female Alex Jones. She didn't criticize Bill 20's actual substance (the K'omoks Treaty Act) because her script-writer Tim Thiemann focuses more on flash-in-the pan social media attention than making a proper policy argument against the BC NDP. I doubt they even read Bill 20. Dallas Brodie did and that is why she had a detailed breakdown of the money, land and powers being given to a band of 340 people and her speech helped activate people who didn't understand what the bill was about previously.

Tara “did her job“ by voting against Bill 9 on second reading, which is the vote on the merits of the bill. this bill. Dallas did not. She slept through the vote. Her new friends, Sturko and Boultbee voted with the NDP as usual. do you have anny explanations which don’t include lies or insults?
