@PodcasterBaz @LeagueofIreland Not a clear goalscoring chance = not a red card
English

Just seen the most absurd, ludicrous and borderline corrupt few minutes of refereeing from the always scandalous Mr Harvey in the #Bohs #Derry @LeagueofIreland game. Send a player off for an innocuous 50/50, then refuse to send off a defender playing basketball. Horrendous.

@empireofthekop @_pauljoyce LOL. “Internal thinking”. As if the owners dictate what formation a manager plays.
Do the fans want Slot out? Yes.
Would Alonso be a good replacement? Yes.
Your job is to make it happen, not dictate the shape of his defence ffs.
English

🚨 @_pauljoyce on Xabi Alonso:
"The external expectation is that the Spaniard, who is out of work after his sacking by Real Madrid in January, would be next in line for the managerial role, but there is little to suggest that aligns with internal thinking.
"Alonso favours a back three, for example, which is one of the reasons why Liverpool did not pursue Ruben Amorim when pressing ahead with Klopp’s successor."

Make no mistake about it, Gakpo has had a poor season.
But we’re at a point now where he’s getting clowned after every game, win or lose, good performance or not.
We put 13 goals past Brighton, Newcastle and Qarabag. Gakpo was one of the main talking points after each game. Talk about the team!?
Would I have started Ngumoha yesterday, perhaps yeah. But we won 3-0 so I couldn’t care less? The Gakpo hate is becoming crazy.
English

@SkySportsPL Then he has failed miserably then. Is it just a Dutch thing to chat so much nonsense every single week while your team bores fans to sleep with GakpoBall? Get him out now!!! #LFC

@TheAnfieldTalk Time to go. Arrogant, egotistical and full of excuses. A horrible fit for #LiverpoolFC - when Klopp won the title in 2020 and then had a disappointing season straight after, you knew he’d fix it and turn it round. Have not once thought that of Slot. He’s making it worse.

There feels like a genuine sense of unrest at Liverpool right now, and it goes far beyond injuries or a dip in form. This feels deeper and more structural.
Arne Slot has repeatedly pointed out that players haven’t been added to the squad, only replaced, and he’s openly said Liverpool lack wingers who can consistently go on the outside. Those comments don’t feel accidental. They sound like pointed messages towards Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards, and they suggest a manager who feels restricted rather than supported.
That frustration is sharpened by the January window. Liverpool clearly need reinforcements, especially given the injury situation, yet Slot hasn’t been backed. There’s a growing suspicion that the directors are reluctant to invest because there’s no certainty Slot will still be in charge next season. Clubs rarely commit serious money mid season for a manager they may not fully believe in long term, and Liverpool appear caught in that grey area.
If that’s the case, it raises uncomfortable questions. Either the club hired a manager they weren’t fully sold on, or trust has eroded far quicker than expected. Neither scenario reflects well on the structure above the head coach.
Crucially, fan frustration is no longer aimed solely at the board. A growing section of supporters are also questioning Slot himself, particularly his handling of fringe and youth players. Promising options remain unused or underused, even when injuries have stretched the squad, and that has not gone unnoticed. For a club that prides itself on pathway and development, that disconnect is jarring.
That, in turn, feeds into the wider sense of uncertainty. Managers who feel secure tend to take calculated risks on youth; managers who feel short-term rarely do. Development becomes secondary to control, and patience wears thin in the stands as a result.
And lets not forget Mo Salah. When a player of his stature publicly questions both the club and the coach, it’s a serious warning sign. Senior players don’t usually speak out unless they sense instability or mixed messaging behind the scenes and fans notice that too.
Add it all together and the picture becomes clearer. This isn’t one isolated problem. It’s a club caught between short term caution and long term planning, with supporters frustrated at the board, increasingly sceptical of the manager, and a squad that can feel the uncertainty. When players, coach, directors, and fans aren’t aligned, the cracks don’t stay hidden for long.

@CounterPresser_ Slot would only sign him if his name was Nathan van der Collins and he’d keep picking him no matter how crap he played… #SlotOut
English

@TheAnfieldWrap Dislike him more every time he talks. His comments about Chiesa sum him up.
English

@ianyoungkop Spot on. Gutless to show authority to Konate, Kerkez and Salah, but has no problem treating Chiesa like shite.
English

@knaggsy097 @andyhayes33 Congrats, you are the biggest bellend on X. Nobody close to taking that crown off you!
English

@SamMcGuire90 Treats hard working, in-form players like Chiesa like shit, and constantly picks out of form players like Kerkez and Konate. I'm all for brilliant tactical minds etc but man management is still a thing in 2025 and he's badly lacking!!!!

@LassThoughts @NickFondacaro @MSNBCPR @KatyTurNBC Good grief 🤮 Charlie Kirk pointing out these mentally deranged people are weirdos explains her hatred
English

Statement from MSNBC president Rebecca Kutler: “During our breaking news coverage of the shooting of Charlie Kirk, Matthew Dowd made comments that were inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable. We apologize for his statements, as has he. There is no place for violence in America, political or otherwise."
English

@FabrizioRomano Awful signing. Not a right back. Bradley is 10 times the player.
English

@DougieCritchley 6-8 are quite ludicrous. Man City winning 4 in a row is better than Juventus winning 9 in a row? or Bayern winning 11 in a row? Don't be silly. Juventus also went invincible and unlike Arsenal, then defended it. Inter winning 5 in a row plus a treble in that run is better, too.
