Look, if you don’t like the ending of any movie, you can soon just export the file, put it into one of the increasingly high quality open weights video models, and do whatever remix you like. We aren’t all the way there, but we’ll be there soon. Prompts will promptly disrupt Hollywood.

@iamankitpande Exactly what happens in most places. companies often realise the real value of good engineers only after they get an outside offer. By then it's usually too late. A good hike is necessary to keep motivation and loyalty high, it has to go both ways

My elder brother worked in the same company for 5 years. 2021: No salary hike 2022: No salary hike 2023: No salary hike 2024: No salary hike 2025: No salary hike In 2026, he finally resigned after getting an offer with a 75% salary increase. His boss suddenly called him and said: But you’re one of our best employees. You’re doing such a great job. Why are you leaving? Funny how companies suddenly discover your value only after your resignation mail lands in their inbox. 48 hours later, the same company that kept saying “budget issues” offered him a 95% raise to stay. Too late. People don’t leave jobs overnight. They leave after years of feeling ignored, undervalued and replaceable.

Real question: what is the actual latest state-of-the-art for file search and retrieval? - Actual grep over filesystem - Virtualized grep / BM25 over a db (what @mintlify did) - Vector search over a db - Hybrid search over a db - SQL - none of the above - some of the above?

ever felt your AI said it did something, but you had no way to actually verify it? this happens a lot more than people think. but you can’t see logs for a 3rd party software, and you also don’t want to share your own internal logs/workflows with someone else just to prove if some tool X was actually called or not. after getting frustrated with the same problem, we built AEVS. a verification layer that sits between your agent/workflow and tool execution, silently intercepts every tool execution, and creates tamper-evident cryptographic receipts. so people can verify: if a tool was actually executed whether it succeeded or failed while still controlling what information others can see without exposing your internal logs. checkout aevs.fetch.ai
