@StefanFrancisci a good chunk of kosovo's population comes from Albanians who were expelled by the serb army from the Niš/Leskovac area when they conquered them from the ottomans in 1878

The flag has always been the same a double headed eagle only the communists added a star on top and that was it later removed.
