@ResoluteMaverik @SkyAsassino I never said they have NO influence, I said that their part in it was extremly minimal and hardly made an impact. If a few CCs can help kill a game by voicing opinions/concerns that had 72M players in it's lifetime, then something aint right.

You have a very narrow-minded view on this bud, it sucks you can't see that. It's foolish to think that people putting out content shitting on the game for years didn't have a negative impact. @SkyAsassino If Bungie constantly has to walk back timelines, delay communication and correct expectations at the last second, that’s literally the reason trust in their communication is so low in the first place. It doesn't excuse the core issues. They've been this way for years.

@DivideGaming21 bungie didnt "lie" about mid month info, they saw they werent gonna make it (likely due to the sony earnings call putting their studio in danger) and TOLD US they would be delayed. we are not getting upset about getting comms in a timely fashion.

@SkyAsassino Peak bottom was about the playerbase, layoffs, collapsing engagement, dead LFGs and the fact even Final Shape wasn’t enough to stop Bungie’s decline. ‘They lied again’ was about Bungie themselves saying mid-May communication was coming (1/2)

@ManofOverwhere And yet despite you saying ‘they didn’t listen anyway’, Bungie still walked back monetization decisions, changed seasonal structures, adjusted content cadence etc.. Imagine how much worse it would’ve been if everyone stayed quiet and pretended the game was fine.

@JFSdragonfire @SkyAsassino Yeah and that’s a fair point but I think the negativity was more a symptom of the game’s state rather than the cause of it. People don’t collectively become cynical for years straight unless there’s a genuine long-term frustration underneath it all.

@SkyAsassino Then blame Bungie’s decisions for giving people daily reasons to be negative, not the players reacting to them. If the game was consistently in a great state, ‘negative clickbait’ wouldn’t keep resonating with so much of the community in the first place.
