A competent org slaps a cardboard sign up above the section that says "NO TARP ZONE," upcharges the tickets by $15 and gives you a shirt that you're all supposed to take off and swing around when prompted by the scoreboard An incompetent org sends the police in

The @Brewers need to address this behavior from staff, publicly.
Matt Peck@matt_peckwi

I don’t understand it, so the #Brewers promote it by showing it on the jumbotron. but…. we also have police and stadium staff blocking the section entrance from allowing more people up there! Let them have fun, it’s more enjoyable then watching the team walk 10 batters.

An inning after showing “tarps off” on the big screen, the one guy in my section doing it got told to put his shirt on or he’d be removed… I shouldn’t be surprised from the same ushers who yell at fans to sit down in October

The most loser shit I’ve ever seen. Absolute disgrace from the employees here. Finally some energy here outside of the bandwagon dodger fans and they shut it down

@KyleKulinski @ksorbs This dude would never carry this attitude with him in public. Maybe he would with body guards. But guys who act like online are the biggest wimps in person. This is why Texas is the greatest state of all time. Mutual combat but we know punk liberals would never accept it.

When Tom Tiffany was in the legislature in the 2010s, police departments all over the state had to make cuts because Republican state budgets cut shared revenue or kept it flat. Before “defund” was ever a dumb slogan, Tom Tiffany’s policies led to a reality of defunded police.

It’s frankly insane that @FrancescaHongWI is still doubling down on abolishing the police. This comes after she said “defund then abolish” and claimed police “exist to uphold white supremacy.” In reality, she’s just saying out loud what the rest of the Democrat field believes.

I'm no huge fan of Tom Barrett's, but he repeatedly proposed a sales tax to fund police and the Republican-controlled legislature repeatedly said no. Milwaukee also spends a higher percentage of its budget on police than almost any other municipality in the nation, in part due to low state support. One study showed that Milwaukee spent 62 cents of every new dollar on police funding in the 2010s. That state support got worse throughout the austerity years under Walker, costing the city an estimated $100 million per year by not indexing budgets to inflation. So, that's how you get that decrease.
Wisconsin Right Now@wisconsin_now

The state doesn’t set the budget of the MPD, Dan. The city does. Who ran that? Tom Barrett was most responsible for the systematic reduction of the MPD’s force strength, from about 2,100 sworn officers in the 1990s to approximately 1,600-1,700 today, if that.
