@Tesla Still need to sort out emergency braking for no reason on autopilot, it’s dangerous, and WTF is curvature assist and why does it keep slowing my car down on the same bit of road where there isn’t a f’in curve? Overrated convenience is the autopilot imho.

@SpeechUnion @elonmusk any chance you could use your not inconsiderable reach to help make the British public aware of this petition please? Many thanks :)

Amazing news: the petition to abolish Orwellian 'non-crimes' has now reached 20,000 signatures! Non-crime hate incidents (NCHIs) allow police to log incidents based on feelings, not facts. These records can appear on background checks, threatening jobs and livelihoods — without any crime being committed. Little wonder, then, that in less than a week, tens of thousands have stood up for fairness, accountability, and the right to lawful free expression. But the fight isn't over yet. We need 100,000 signatures to get this debated in Parliament. Let's keep up the pressure. ✍️ Sign the petition here. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7010… Together, we can put an end to this unjust and chilling practice, which has no place in a liberal democracy. Please sign and share today. 👊👊👊

@elonmusk Sorry dude, I have to disagree there, your car’s AI keeps seeing things that aren’t there and breaking dangerously on autopilot. It isn’t that clever.

@ClarksonsFarm1 Didn’t vote for them but they were voted in democratically so we’ve got them for the next 4 years or so. Best just get used to it. Just got to hope Starmer doesn’t do anything stupid to rile Putin before Trump is inaugurated.

@DPJHodges @Outoftweet123 Who knows, but regardless of what you (or we) think or say, if the supermarkets do sack staff and it’s a direct result of governmental changes then it’s on the government for poorly thought out policy isn’t it?

@adilray I agree and understand but they are inheriting an asset that significant value to the public as it is used to keep us alive by growing our food. I can see why there is an exemption and as long as the farm continues to produce food imho there should not be IHT.

So you’re telling me that: - Income Tax - National Insurance Contributions - Corporation Tax - Capital Gains Tax - Council Tax - Value Added Tax - Excise Duty - Fuel Duty - Stamp Duty Land Tax - Air Passenger Duty - Insurance Premium Tax - Green Taxes (Includes levies on energy bills or vehicle emissions, like road tax). - Gambling Taxes - Plastic Bag Charges - Carbon Emissions Levy (embedded in energy costs for businesses and indirectly passed to consumers) - Landfill Tax (paid by waste management companies but often reflected in local authority charges) - Television Licence Fee - Congestion Charges - Soft Drinks Industry Levy Isn’t enough to fund public schools, public services, roads, etc? They also have to apply a death tax and charge your kids on money you’ve already paid tax on? 🤡🌍

@RoxaneLGibson1 @AshaRangappa_ It doesn’t matter how good you are at getting a message out if your message doesn’t resonate with the enough voters. MAGA Republicans may have looked like they were everywhere but they weren’t. MAGA just had policies that more people agreed with. Except intellectual elites 🤷‍♂️

🔹There's a massive difference in how each party works the ground game and controls the messaging. MAGA Republicans are everywhere; all over social media, in front of cameras, pushing a message, even if it's full of lies. But it's reaching Americans constantly. 🔹Democrats, on the other hand, have incredible people👥intelligent, articulate, honest lawmakers with real achievements. But they're just not as visible. #DemsUnited #DemVoice1 #ProudBlue What happened to knowing your constituents and understanding their concerns? 🔹This is a service position. The people you represent should see the impact of what you're doing in their lives, whether it’s as simple as getting a new stop sign in their neighborhood or answering their questions. They should feel proud of the work you’re doing for them. 🔹I’m tired of seeing the same Trump lackeys🤡Byron Donalds, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan. 🔹Yet when it comes to Democrats, I can only name a handful who get regular airtime. What does that say? It says we're failing to reach people, and it’s not because we need to go low. We just need to be out there, preaching the truth every single day.

@STOPneoliberals Yep that’s a brilliant thing to do, fracture the left just like the Tories did to the right. Worked a charm for them didn’t it?

Corbyn needs to form a party. He's the only left-wing person with enough public support. Baffling that he hasn't done this. Being an independent won't change British politics. Labour is centre-right: that's done.

@Heccles94 You are sooooo intelligent you still really don’t get it do you? Us thick fuckers look at the outlandish policies that you on the left are coming up with and think, “fuck that” and vote elsewhere. You could have us all back if you stopped being so intellectually superior.

Do not presume we in Britain are immune from this. Do not underestimate the risks of right-wing populism. The left need to get organised.

Trump's win should act as a warning to the Labour government: If we fail to address deep-rooted inequality and the cost of living crisis, we risk leaving a void that can be filled by the far-right. When people feel ignored, they look for alternatives.

@ElectionMapsUK Because inflation naturally fell when energy prices stabilised after the initial shock of Covid and Ukraine but wages took a year to catch up. So wages go up in the year to 2023 to cover inflation in the year to 2022, by which time inflation had naturally fallen in year to 2023

Increasingly clear that it's never been more difficult to win as an incumbent, anywhere, regardless of ideology. Trump won - decisively - because of dissatisfaction with the economy, yet it grew by 2.8% in the last year and wage growth has outstripped inflation since Feb 2023.
