As Ian reported last night, the Knicks would not need to trade three or more starters to get draft compensation for Giannis. The likely framework is KAT as the salary match plus one other starter. That second starter would most likely be Bridges, routed to either New Orleans or Portland to help Milwaukee regain control of its own draft. Both teams own Milwaukee draft capital. If you think this Knicks team just needs to “lock in” to win a title, I doubt your ability to contextualize history, or to judge where we actually are inside it.
