If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

Jesus could have called down 10,000 warrior angels to rescue him from the cross but violence is not his message and it should not be ours. Do not be confused into thinking Jesus has anything to do with those who parrot his name around to whitewash their violence and hate.

If you bear the name of Jesus, then bear his cross. To the scoffers, doubters, haters, and complainers, Jesus responded by bearing his cross and saying, “I’ll die for you anyway.” “ I love you anyways.”

Love is the answer to the worlds problems. Specifically the love of Jesus. The love that said, “turn the other cheek,” “love your enemies” “pray for those who persecute you.” It’s the love that said, “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Violence is not the answer.

People have many differing opinions on what the Bible means. But no interpretation of scripture allows “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities,” to mean “storm congress.”

I don't know the Jesus some have paraded and waved around in the middle of this treachery today. They may be acting in the name of some other Jesus but that's not Jesus of the Gospels.
