Is there anyone legit among those listed as generals in the book “God’s Generals”? I am having some doubts that even a single one is legit. Sorry for those who have no clue what I’m talking about. This is one tiny piece of a massive amount of research into whatever has been happening among major charismatic leaders over the last couple generations. Many modern charismatic (I’d say hyped-charismatic) leaders have pointed to the people in the book “God’s Generals” as a group of anointed individuals that they pattern themselves after. But they seem like they might be a bunch of frauds. Here’s the list, exalted by Bethel and others as models for future ministries. 1: John Alexander Dowie — "The Healing Apostle" 2: Maria Woodworth-Etter — "Demonstrator of the Spirit" 3: Evan Roberts — "Welsh Revivalist" 4: Charles F. Parham — "The Father of Pentecost" 5: William J. Seymour — "The Catalyst of Pentecost" 6: John G. Lake — "A Man of Healing" 7: Smith Wigglesworth — "Apostle of Faith" 8: Aimee Semple McPherson — "A Woman of Destiny" 9: Kathryn Kuhlman — "The Woman Who Believed in Miracles" 10: William Branham — "A Man of Notable Signs and Wonders" 1 1 : Jack Coe — "The Man of Reckless Faith" 12: A. A. Allen — "The Miracle Man" Do you truly believe any of these had genuine, spirit filled ministries which were devoid of fakery? I’m genuinely asking because I’m currently looking into all of this and can’t tell how far spread the fraudulent stuff goes. The names I know anything about are not trustworthy. The others are open to question.
