These results from the 2009 Nature study (Eisenegger et al.) show a clear split: actual testosterone given to women increased fairness in bargaining games (higher offers, less confrontational) and reduced selfishness. But women who *believed* they got testosterone (placebo) acted more aggressively and unfairly. This demonstrates that stereotypes about testosterone driving aggression often influence behavior more than the hormone's actual physiological effects. Expectations shape outcomes powerfully here.

Everyone talks about Lucerne overtaking Zug as the lowest corporate tax (CIT) in CH... Nobody about Ticino dropping its CIT by 3% in 2025/2026! Insane. Lucerne, for context, dropped it's CIT by 0.5%. Ticino by 3%. This is a great move from Ticino. It's now a genuinely competitive place to set up shop and base in CH. Income taxes in Ticino are also not that bad as people think, especially if you're a married entrepreneur with kids: in practical terms, if you pay yourself a ~100k CHF salary, your spouse has ~50k CHF salary and have a couple of kids, you're looking at ~4.5% PIT on the household income.

Looked a bit into the below Swiss spots for remote/online workers 🇨🇭🌐: Jura: I think too rural (+ French which I don't speak) Valais: very based but maybe not based enough for me to learn French to a C1/C2 level (IMO great for real integration) Lucerne area: good, but a bit stuck with the high costs (Lucerne is expensive, France/Italy are not that close for weekend getaways, airport also not very close-by) Ticino: paying some of the higher taxes in CH for some of the worse infra + the heftiest health insurance for middle of the pack healthcare doesn't sit well with me. Central/German CH Suburbia not perfect, but large and with many options. Might find a spot with: - Good taxes - Good health insurance - Good infra/healthcare + < 1h-1h30m to airport - Similar costs to Ticino/Valais - Great and accessible nature - <3 hours to Italy and France for weekend getaways
