THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU is again having superb domestic walkups this Saturday, after a better-than-expected Friday ($33M). It’s now tracking to earn $95M-$100M domestically over the 4-day weekend.

Disney need to mandate that, in order to work on a Star Wars project (whether it be a movie or show) you need to have watched all movies, and all of the Clone Wars and Rebels as a bare minimum.

Okay, here’s my honest review of THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU: I never thought I’d see a STAR WARS film with no stakes and less suspense, but here it is. This is a “memberberry” packed slog in which the most obscure action figures you played with as a kid (and endless slight variations thereof) become canon fodder NPCs for an almost plotless narrative that leans heavily on all of the Abrams/Filoni/Favreau era’s worst instincts and tendencies. If this had at least come on the heels if a thrilling Mandalorian: Season Three that left me wanting more, it might be a little easier to be forgiving. Unfortunately, I’ve got a bad feeling that this is gonna do real damage to the franchise just as we were all hoping for a bold new direction. They should probably have released this as a wrap-up streaming film on Disney+. The best thing I can say about it is: “Well... that’s a thing I saw today.”

also people saying it’s worse than TROS must have forgotten how bad TROS truly is. TROS is offensive on like a spiritual level. mando and grogu is just bad. TROS is truly evil vibes
