@Dukes_Coach_D @_coachrachel Question--- If the kid wants to go closer to home, why not just choose a school and go? What is the portal really needed for?

If you’re a freshman/sophomore non-starter at a D1 with little to no stats and you enter the portal… What exactly are you expecting? An upgrade? A lateral move? A downgrade? No stats = No résumé. The market determines your value, not your ego.
