Looks like propagation is starting to pick up again 👀
Today we copied #T31TTT with very good signals on 18 MHz SSB 📡
Wishing you all a great weekend!⛱️🌴 @DX_World

In amateur radio, a panadapter (panoramic adapter) is a device or software feature that provides a real-time, visual display of radio signals across a wide band of frequencies. A panadapter lets you see the radio spectrum. youtu.be/ZMhHLnMN6BE

@radhive_fun Seeing the spectrum filled with CW signals is simply fascinating: it conveys life and passion for radio.

@Johnsontechword @FlexRadioSystem GM Jon, I’ve found another app that might fit what we’re looking for, although I’m honestly not sure whether it would work for us or not. I’m sending you the link so you can take a look when you have a moment and let me know what you think.

Thanks to Ría #N2RJ and their team, “PocketSDR” will soon be available, a new Android app for controlling FlexRadio. I’m privileged to be a beta tester, and I can say it’s truly amazing ✅👌

@frozenorthfarm Welcome Walter!
It will be a pleasure to follow your progress and enjoy your journey, both in the world of CW and with those magnificent Collins radios. I’m sure you’ll share many interesting experiences with all of us!
English

@Johnsontechword @FlexRadioSystem Jon, Ría has just replied to your question:
This will only work with the SmartSDR API.
There will be other versions for other radios. I may reuse some of the code and the user interface.
English

@ea1dr @FlexRadioSystem The LMR SDR which I have recently homebrewed, works with PowerSDR, which was one of the earlier FlexRadio softwares. Wonder whether PocketSDR will also work with LMR SDR?
English

@frozenorthfarm That’s real dedication. Practicing random groups at 22 WPM is already serious level 👍 And repairing two Collins R-390s for a former Army radioman… that’s living radio history right there. CW may be old, but this weekend proved it’s still very far from dying 👏👏👏

Female voice, automated responses… and zero humanity 🤖 The radio that once made us feel now only speaks from an algorithm 🤖 Technology moves forward, but the essence of radio is left behind 📻💀 #WWAContest
No heartbeat, no radio ✅

@NWfourA @DX_World Modern tools don’t reduce the operator’s merit, just as VFO, DSP, Cluster didn’t in their time. Tech changes, but radio’s essence stays the same: experiment, communicate, enjoy. The real risk to the hobby isn’t technology, but the belief there’s only one “right” way to do it.
English

@Johnsontechword There’s definitely activity here, Jon. With the contest today, the CW bands are really busy, and even on a regular day there’s plenty going on: special callsigns, SOTA, POTA, and people calling CQ across the bands. There’s always something interesting to listen to 🙂
English

Yesterday, watching videos @hamvention, one thing became vy clear: amateur radio is far from dead 📻⚡
CW, POTA/SOTA, portable ops, SDR remote stations, solar power, packed halls and lots of young people getting into the hobby
Hamradio isn’t disappearing, it’s evolving
