In 10 days (by May 30), party primaries close, and we’ll have our shortlist of ~20 candidates. In 2019, Nigeria had 73 candidates for president (yes, we were also surprised) In 2023, we had 18. In 2027, 🤷🏾‍♀️ that number is still being decided, but our guess is less than 22, given we've seen some parties supporting other party candidates. The final list on the ballot is quietly taking shape, and we're watching.
