@Liquifies_ @CraigMish The Marlins didnt need Fairbanks at that number when they had internal options that could do the job. For a team that doesnt like to spend, why not spend when you knew you needed at least 3 bats? And as bad as Jazz has been, Gus was so bad he had to go to the minors.

@EddieInMiami305 @CraigMish Since you are focused on last year, how about his 4 total hits in that playoff series? Really helped them there. Currently, Jazz has been horrible this year. Obvs money could have been allocated elsewhere but Fairbanks was a solid pick up his underlying numbers are better

@Liquifies_ @CraigMish Weathers is proving every bit the potential many thought of him in the Padres system, and the marlins were to quick to move off of him because they thought they had too much pitching. That money spent on Paddack + Fairbanks could have been gotten the marlins another bat they need

@Liquifies_ @CraigMish Jazz was an all star last year with a WAR over 4. Hit 31 homers, more than Gus, had more RBIs, and a better OPS. Gus was a negative WAR player for the marlins and continues to be. Sorry to break it to you, but Gus is Jorge Alfaro with a little more pop.

@Liquifies_ @CraigMish 2 trades*. The Jazz trade looks like a total win for the Yanks, and the Weathers trade looks bad for the marlins when you consider he was a controllable arm who would have helped the marlins in each start Chris Paddack ended up making. Sometimes what you have in house is better

@FishOnFirst This is why the marlins continue to be the marlins. Writers continue to give free passes to the marlins front office, and try to justify trading away guys who could help this team. Arraez couldve been the solution and 1B even if X came up, yet instead its still a black hole at 1B

@WillManso Guys the Marlins could've signed in free agency that could've helped more: Munetaka Murakami, Ryan O'Hearn, Eugenio Suarez, Kyle Finnegan, Luis Arraez, Gregory Soto. All attainable names. Marlins decided to go the route of guys no longer around.

@mpicardi You let your ace lose the game himself instead of how it all went down after. Stop making excuses for these puppets! These are the games that matter later in the season. Stop managing by the analytics, and go back to feel for the game and your gut. Baseball was better that way.

Feel like starting my morning with a good ol' ratio. Let's remove names. SP is great but allows double, walk in 9th, up around 100 pitches on April 8th. No closer, so go get a guy who allows a .184 avg to RHH in his CAREER, to face two RHH. You hate it because of the names.

@LoudMiamiFan @Cangelosifan Also, forgive me for saying this, however, I can tell you dont know about the rich history of the latino culture in the area the stadium was built in. Just minutes away, Miami Stadium once existed and brought many fans to the area to baseball in various forms. We want winners.

@Cangelosifan Miami Never wanted a baseball team in miami. The citizens of miami didnt want it, and it located in one of the most horrible spots to get too. It is only one of two MAJOR LEAGUE baseball stadiums not built directly off a large highway. The only other currently is Tropicana.

The conversation that TROY JOHNSTON has brought to light is VERY simple to explain. JOE ROBBIE/PRO Player/Sunlife/Landshark/Dolphin/Dolphins STADIUM is built on county line road. It has perfect access off a major highway. When the team moved to MARLINS PARK only 20% of Broward County which was 60% of the Fanbase wants to drive to little Havana, even worse only 5% of Palm Beach County of what was 20% of fanbase wants to drive to Little Havana if you Mix with the fact Dade County citizens NEVER wanted a Stadium in LITTLE HAVANA, you get the reason why Miami finishes in the bottom 5% in attendence year after year.

@Cangelosifan @LoudMiamiFan Exactly. As long as this team acts like its in a small market, theyll continue to not get the fans. No one is saying you gotta spend like the yankees or dodgers, but in a city like Miami, theres no reason the payroll shouldnt sit top 10-15 in the league.

They didn’t draw at Joe Robbie either. I understand Broward and PB fans have sand in their vaginas about the stadium being built in Miami, but the issue now and then has been the constant fire sales and lack of spending to try to win. This fantasy that had in been in Broward the stadium would be full is just an unproven fantasy. Keep players and compete consistently and it’ll fill up. Even the JDF and Stanton years had more fans than other years bc fans started to trickle in because the team had known players that were good even without competing

@LoudMiamiFan This is just plain wrong. The Panthers stadium is built in Broward and no one went until.....the team actually started winning. They couldnt give out enough free tickets to panthers games before that. Spend money, build a winner, and they'll come.
