Also, there is this from the actual Bible: Matt 7: 16 "Ye shall know them by their fruits... 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Good question. I think he meant that living expenses in the Midwest are often less than other places. Being near family is important too. I think he was just trying to solve the "I have to be at work for finances and that's why I'm missing my baby growing up" question that many feel.

@collinsworth55 I get this is a "moms should be at home" complaint post, but there are other options before jumping to "move to the Midwest". Why are online influencers obsessed with folks moving to random places, away from family?

Completely downsize. Move to the Midwest or somewhere super affordable and get a cheap house and do whatever you can do so you don’t miss these moments. You can change a lot to make it happen

@defense_of_fam @RykerJackson97 It's interesting because the question, "Should I have married her before going forward?" wasn't even asked. But it was the more important question. We need to ask the more important questions.

I don’t have a super strong opinion on this one way or the other, but historically this would have been the ideal and very, very normal.

Agreed. The government doesn't give you the right to raise your child. God gives you the right. With those God-given rights people can form governments. It may be a good idea for governments to remember where the rights come from. I can think of one government, back in 1776, that seemed to have forgotten it for a while. It didn't go well for them.

@DeAngelisCorey This makes me so sad. The vast majority of parents, including homeschooling parents, love their children deeply. We shouldn’t be required to seek permission from the state to raise our children.

BREAKING: Rhode Island Democrats introduced a bill preventing parents from homeschooling when government schools say it's "not in the best interest of the child." Parents must prove their innocence if they want to raise their own kids at home. They are running the bill today.

@SovereignIM This is not how it seems to the intelligent outlier women. Don’t see a lot of Christ centered truth seeking mature men out here on the daily. These men feel like precious rare gems to me.

Up until around 23-25, women are more mature than men. Up until around say 29, they’re about equivalent, with men inching fairer and more reasonable. By 30 onwards, men are categorically and unequivocally the maturer sex. Women mature much faster, yes, but men do so more totally.

Children don’t dream of divided homes. They long for stability, love, and the security of knowing their family will stay together.

It would be wise for governments and schools to keep in mind that they exist only at the pleasure of parents. Our rights as parents don't come from the government. They come from God. Then, with those rights, we can possibly choose to form governments and schools. We can reverse those decisions if needed. It would be wise for people to remember this.

Parents know their own kids better than bureaucrats like you sitting in offices hundreds of miles away. They know their kids benefit. They know the government schools are left-wing failure factories.
NGutierrez@repngutierrez

Nobody can say that vouchers benefit students. There are no tests and no safety measures. So, the only ones benefiting are rich parents and schools that take the money. It’s costing AZ $1B and we have no evidence that anyone is learning.

@DeAngelisCorey Putting it mildly, it would be a good idea for governments and schools to remember that they exist at the pleasure of parents. Also, best to remember that they do not own our children.

There are no political solutions to spiritual problems. The only true and lasting hope for any nation is obedience to God's commandments. This Sunday, many will gather to rededicate our nation and their lives to God. The degree of sincerity in these efforts will determine the degree of peace, prosperity and unity we will have as a nation. "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14

We need to stop outsourcing this stuff to anyone but ourselves! My wife & I talk about this a lot. Every parents job should be make marriage & family look so freaking fun our kids are excited about it! We do this by: •Tons of family adventures & constantly playing outside together. •My wife & I making out in the kitchen & going on multiple date nights a week. We tell the kids often & they see it how awesome marriage is! There is nothing on earth better than creating an amazing life with your spouse & raising tiny humans to enjoy it with you! This message needs to be shouted & lived out by married couples constantly!
ZUBY:@ZubyMusic

Marriage rates are going to keep dropping in the West. I don't see them reversing anytime soon. People can't even agree on what 'marriage' means anymore. There are all these different interpretations, expectations, and permutations. It's deranging. Tough sell for many.

We’re not talking about the Great Depression. We’re talking about 100 years later where the most developed country on earth still can’t accommodate mothers. We have some of the worst post partum expectations on earth. I don’t care what happened during the great depression, I care what’s happening now.

This is hard. Mothers shouldn’t have to leave their babies 2 months after birth and go back to work. I love America, but this is one thing we haven’t gotten right. Babies need their mamas. Mamas need their babies. 💔

@ThoughtCrimes80 Let’s stop pretending that money and work is more important than family. It is not. Men, step up and take care of your children and mothers of your children. Moms and dads, you don’t need to keep up with the Jones. Live frugally and make your family more important.
