This is completely wrong.
China doesn’t want or need Western energy, chips, or the US market in 2026.
Energy independence is being engineered with domestic alternative energy, expansion of oil drilling (China now 3rd largest producer), and import partners Russia and BRI states.
China rejected using new Nvidia gaming chips this week and is not buying AI chips in size anymore.
Exports to US are down from a peak of 21% of total exports in 2017 to just 11% in 2025, and will decline in importance further as exports surge to the global South.
I know it’s hard work staying informed, but do the work if you’re going to prognosticate about China.

Unpraktikabel? Warum? BIP/Kopf wird jährlich ermittelt, dito Inflationsrate. Kontraproduktiv? Den Wohlstand des Landes zu mehren, sollte das oberste Ziel sein. Ausser natürlich, man träumt vom Sozialismus und/oder glaubt, mit Degrowth im Alleingang die Welt zu retten.

Die Pensionen der Politiker sollten direkt an die Entwicklung des realen BIP/Kopf gebunden werden plus 2 % Inflationsausgleich. Anreize: a) reales Wachstum b) Einhaltung Inflationsziel. Dann klappt das bestimmt mit den Reformen um den ABSTURZ noch zu verhindern.

Die Diäten sind gar nicht das große Thema, finde ich. Das eigentliche Thema sind Pensionen und ein insgesamt sehr großzügiges System zumindest für Beamte in hohen Besoldungsstufen mit wunderschönen vielen Zulagen und Ausnahmen, von denen jeder Arbeitnehmer nur träumen kann.

@DrLuetke Merz liegt genau richtig.Wie es in den Wald hinein schallt so schallt es heraus. Trump sollte seine Kommunikation überdenken. Hier in Dänemark ist Trump wegen seiner Äußerungen zu Grönland aber auch dermaßen von durch. Und das wurde ihm von dänischer Seite auch klar kommuniziert.

@pati_marins64 Interesting thought: the new America hemisphere doctrine would be based on outsourcing global conflicts to proxies (Europe for RU, Japan for CHN, Israel/UAE for Iran) and sell US made weapon systems + munitions to them. (like 1940-1942 to UK). Proxies probably enough corrupted.

I’m writing a text that I’ll publish in a few hours about the arms industry and the trap it represents right now.
I’m not a financial analyst, but when the subject is connected to conflicts, I know what I’m talking about. Many people chased the boom caused by conflicts and made medium- and long-term investments in arms manufacturers without following the supply chains of these industries, and the risks are very high.
These risks range from China’s policy on rare earths to fierce competition with other technological sectors.
The numbers released by the arms industry do not reflect the real health of production flows and deliveries.
