@BrandonMarlett No. If u realize Who God is & what the Gospel is, & the Holy Spirit is working in u, u do care about ur fellow human beings on a physical AND spiritual level & are called to self-sacrifice. As an Atheist, u have no solid ground even for saying empathy is good, & no directive.

@ElijahJSanders2 Your concern seems to be agreement on a single issue rather than values like kindness, caring, thoughtfulness, and integrity. You've separated yourself from the majority of humans and their concerns in favor of what you've been threatened with and promised. Empathy was the price.

@BrandonMarlett No my friend, u've only dulled urself against reality. He is the bringer of goodness, for all good things come from God alone (inc ur life), & He is God incarnate. He is also the epitome of empathy if u know Him. U may not realize it, but Atheism is cruel, clueless, & hopeless.

@ElijahJSanders2 That he has been an inspiration and influence for so many has heavily contributed to the shaping of our culture. As an atheist, I no longer feel constrained by the notion that he is the arbiter or the bringer of goodness and that has brought me a far greater capacity for empathy.
