I feel like this is the biggest complaint with most Looter Shooters/ ARPGs. Lack of endgame.
Anthem, Outriders, launch D4, etc.
Yet Warframe is now the longest standing game in the genre and it legitimately lacks endgame. What’s their secret?

@MoxsyOG IMO it’s a mix of both consistent yearly large updates that add a decent amount of stuff to chase and is new (most of the time) content AND a satisfying, while a lil mind numbing at times, gameplay loop and unique abilities. But ngl, I use as an ADHD buffer for Netflix lmao

and work minimum wage. Then again League is literally whatever is the most creative insult you can come up with so idk if it’s the same in Destiny.

@heisechuanqi Don’t agree with this take here, but I will say his kit is extremely boring and not fun to play. His W straight feels like ass unless you get to carry someone with it, but new Skarner can give you that same feeling with less steps and a better kit. R stats are what carry him.

@MathRockSucked Leadership was a consistent problem at Bungie but it really looks like Pete Parsons was the biggest evil out of them all. I remember a million jokes about him using all the profit from DLCs to get a new car and that’s why content was recycled.

Well, that escalated quickly. There’s been a wave of claims by cheaters about Vanguard “bricking” their PCs, so let’s clear that up: Vanguard does not damage hardware or disable your devices. The photo we posted is a picture of cheat hardware devices that are sold explicitly for cheating in VALORANT (not normal PCs or PC components). Through our latest updates, Vanguard now makes those devices worthless for VAL, but does not in any way brick PCs or PC components or PC software. Our latest update enforces standard platform security features, like the Input-Output Memory Management Unit (IOMMU), on accounts identified as using Direct Memory Access (DMA) cheating devices. These protections are already part of modern systems and when enabled, they block DMA cheat devices (such as those shown in the photo) from accessing memory in downstream applications, like our games. If a cheat setup continues attempting to cheat after those protections are enabled, the system may generate hardware faults or instability. This is expected behavior under IOMMU when attempts are made to read protected memory. Disabling IOMMU allows the cheat device to function again, but IOMMU will still be required to play our games. This means the cheat device won’t work with our games, but your PC isn’t “bricked.” We would not, and cannot, impact your PC’s functionality in any other fashion. This functionality only applies to systems attempting to use DMA cheat devices, and players who are not using DMA-based cheat setups are not affected. We’ll keep investing in anti-cheat to protect competitive integrity, and we’ll keep being as transparent as possible about how those systems work.

@CoolGuyGames You can think that, and time will tell. What happens when sales do not increase for season 2 and player count gets even lower? As an original Marathon, Halo and Destiny player, after the way Bungie treated D2 and the theft of content paid for, I want Bungie to fail.

Bungie spent 12 years building Halo. 1999 - overseeing Reach in 2011. Then started over with Destiny.
Destiny has been their world for... 12 years, 2014 to 2026.
Few studios build one universe with that kind of staying power. Bungie built two. I wouldn't rule out a third.

@blazebolt07 Some of that was tech limitation but Lightfall and other decisions like that were intentional either way with intentionally cut resources, gaslighting, and isolating those that spoke out. Yall should have seen the original interation of lightfall, it was glorious

@LukeCB14 Ah I see. I used to be in the leaks server a long time ago, mostly cause I liked the lore and wanted to see what was next. I remember seeing a lot of stuff floating around but a lot of it got deleted. One thing I still have is this image but it’s probably bogus

@giancar73012035 The only thing more annoying than the “just go to Warframe” people are the “b-but Marathon” people. Marathon is a flop. It’s not Bungie’s fault, the game is well designed, but people don’t like that genre. It’s why Arc Raiders has to baby their players, cause people don’t like it

I'm going to say this a million times in case they don't get it: if *Marathon* had been a total success, "Destiny 2" would still be alive, we'd even have the next expansión but you idiots who hated on Marathon, all you managed to do was kill "Destiny."

Just based on the reactions i've been seeing today, it's no surprise that a D3 has not been greenlit A lot of self reflection is necessary now more than ever, because the hate train you participated in was a contributor to today's result

@iCON_Riot Not trying to take your enjoyment out of the game, good for you that you like it. But telling people to try Marathon after Destiny’s funeral feels incredibly insensitive as most Destiny players credit a large amount of Destiny’s failure to Marathon’s development.

@iCON_Riot And the reason people don’t like Marathon is because the general gaming community aren’t built for extraction shooters. Arc Raiders is literally the biggest poster for it. Tarkov not being mainstream should’ve been sign enough tbh.
