I have never seen a presidential candidate meet one-on-one with the chairman of their local government, but here is President Tinubu, a sitting president, shaking hands with the chairman of Ikoyi/Obalende Local Government, Bola Oladunjoye.

One of the more interesting parts of early fatherhood is watching your child grow his own personality and will. My 4-month-old son is becoming his own man and nowhere is this more obvious than in how he now chooses his times. Every time I place him on the bed to sleep it becomes a whole event. He lifts his head, gets on his arms like a lizard, and just stares. I push his head down softly, he raises it again. I push it down, he raises it again. I usually give up. He has decided. And honestly it frustrates me because how convenient would it be if he slept when I chose, sat still when I chose, stayed calm when I chose. I sustain this child alongside his mom. He has contributed nothing to his own survival. And yet I have to readjust to his orbit. One evening in the middle of that frustration I just said out loud, Father Lord what is this. And the Lord laid it on my heart quietly: this is you. This is all of you. And when it landed it landed heavy. Because God does not have a partial claim on us the way I have a partial claim on my son. I feed my son and I pay his bills. God made the laws that hold your atoms together. In Him we live and move and have our being, Acts 17. Not past tense, but present continuous. Your next heartbeat is not self-funded. And still we lift our heads. Again and again. He pushes us gently toward rest and we get back on our arms and stare at Him defiantly. And He does not withdraw the oxygen. He does not pull the breath as leverage. He just continues to sustain the very creatures resisting Him, with the very strength they are using to resist Him. Any tyrant can dominate weakness. What God does is something different entirely. He holds immature, stubborn, ungrateful wills without crushing them. And then, when the resistance produced its full cost, He absorbed it Himself on a cross. My son taught me that God’s patience is not passive. It is the most active and costly choice He makes every single day.

Both imperfect groups, for sure. However, when Christian men betray their founder and act wrongly, it is easy to recognize, because their founder was and is perfect and blameless. In contrast, when Muslim men betray their founder, it is often by acting better than him. A Muslim man in today’s society who behaved exactly like Muhammad would likely end up in prison.

@Geniustechw A religion built on the flesh must be sustained by the flesh. While Christianity situate the duty to discipline & control oneself as a personal responsibility relying on the Spirit of God, Islam however situated the responsibility on the object of lust

Apart from the absurdity and demonic degeneracy of the claim itself, this exposes a deeper theological problem. The reasoning implicitly normalizes male lust as something primarily managed through external regulation rather than internal moral responsibility. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus radically internalizes sin. He does not say, “If someone causes you to lust, they are guilty.” He says, “If YOU look lustfully, YOU have sinned.” The burden is placed first on the heart, the eyes, the will of the individual. That is why Christ says, “If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out.” The problem begins within. Moral failure is not outsourced onto other people’s clothing, appearance, or existence. By contrast, this kind of reasoning creates a framework where responsibility is continually externalized: Women must veil so men do not lust, men must grow beards so other men are not tempted, society must endlessly regulate appearances because self-control is treated as secondary. Christianity addresses desire at the root. It confronts the human heart itself rather than building an ever-expanding system of external restrictions to compensate for it.

@Iyoaiye_ @olusegunakanbiB He should also direct the National Assembly to funds itself through IGR. Why is it only the politicians and political appointees enjoy freebies from the federal govt. they should generate money to sustain themselves too and let us see.

TINUBU'S NEW POLICY FOR UNIVERSITIES WILL MAKE THEM TO WAKE UP AND THINK LIKE A BUSINESS. Tinubu Government Directs Universities to Fund Lecturers’ Allowances Internally — Nigerians Fear Tuition Hikes. But There’s a Bigger Economic Picture. The Federal Government has now directed public universities to begin paying the new Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA) for lecturers. Using internally generated revenue while waiting for full budget implementation. Many students are already panicking about possible tuition increases. And honestly, their fears are understandable. The allowance is massive: • Graduate Assistants — over ₦1 million yearly. • Senior lecturers and professors — over ₦3 million yearly. • Tax-free funding for research, books, software, journals, conferences, and fieldwork. But here is the main koko... For decades, Nigerian universities depended almost entirely on Abuja allocations while operating like non-business entities. You know I am an advocate of government thinking like a business? Tinubu is doing the right thing. The world changed. Today: • American universities make billions from patents, sports, research grants, technology, alumni donations, and international students. • Chinese universities are directly linked to manufacturing and industrial growth. • Singapore transformed universities into innovation centers feeding the economy. • South Korea tied universities to national technology development. Nigeria cannot continue funding 21st-century education with a 1970s economic structure. This policy may look harsh now, but the Tinubu administration appears to be pushing universities toward economic productivity instead of total federal dependence. Universities sit on thousands of hectares of land, research talent, intellectual property, consultancies, agricultural projects, technology hubs, medical services, and business opportunities — yet many generate very little revenue. The government’s argument is simple: “If lecturers are to receive globally competitive research and academic support allowances, institutions themselves must begin creating value.” That's simple. Painful? Yes. Risky? Yes. But economically, this is part of a wider reform agenda shifting Nigeria from a consumption economy to a productivity economy. The danger, however, is this: If university management simply transfers the burden to poor students through endless “sundry charges,” then the policy could worsen inequality and reduce access to education. That is where leadership matters. Universities must now become innovative: • commercialize research • partner industries • attract private endowments • monetize innovations • expand professional programs • improve agricultural and technology ventures • reduce corruption and waste A university should not only produce job seekers. A university should become an economic engine. This is how China built industrial power. This is how America dominates technology. This is how Asian nations used education to create wealth. Nigeria is now entering that difficult transition stage where institutions are being forced to survive beyond federal oil money. The real question is: Will Nigerian universities reform and innovate Or simply increase school fees and punish students? Ugoji Maximillian

APC is in charge of the Governments of 18 out of the 19 states in the Northern part of Nigeria. 18! This is the first time any political party will be that dominant since 1999 (4th Republic). I am not saying anything. I am just saying for those who think the “North” doesn’t like PBAT or APC…well

On one hand, we must cut him some slack, he was joking and has since clarified that in later videos. On the other hand, it’s a reminder that the pulpit is sacred space. The same comment outside that setting might have been taken differently, but when someone stands in that role, words are adjudged to carry spiritual weight. Care is needed so that nothing opens the door to God’s name being dishonoured.

"This guy here is called Only One Kesh. He's from Nnewi. He flaunts wealth like he made money from his mother's womb. He has a deep pocket. SUVs here and there. Houses here and there. He's in the circle of Obi Cubana. He finds pleasure in insulting people who do not have booty of fraud kind of money. It's one week and some days now he's in the net of EFCC over chains of successful internet fraud. It's unfortunate that most people who made or make money through fraud delight in becoming celebrities, exposing themselves to suspicion. That's how they intimidate people who live modestly. You're a fraudster and you crave spotlight as though you're doing a legitimate business. Information is that he's providing good information about his partners and how he scammed people. He's not arguing at all. Evidence is glaring. This is yet another incident that should dissuade your mind from envy and jealousy. A greater number of these young people intimidating you with property and money are criminals. When this one is finally out, if he's not going to be waybilled to America to face FBI, his image will have been bastardized. Take away camera from your face if you're a fraudster." ~NCN

Politicians’ Spending On Vehicles And Office Furniture Outstrips What The Economy Can Sustain - Kunle They are import-driven choices, from the best Toyota ranges, Range Rovers, to BMWs, yet they don’t even produce the tyres locally. And still, they borrow money to fund them. They run public offices with some of the most expensive cars and furniture in the world, yet these offices do not produce anything directly. These are the issues we must interrogate. We should be telling President Tinubu that it is time to cut costs and enforce moderation, because a minister in Nigeria does not need anything more than a pickup vehicle. Dan Kunle, Energy Expert
