@angela_walch @TimBeiko With tokenized incentives, the “worst case” is existing state is input into a new system. The ETH2 upgrade looks very similar to this already.

@TimBeiko So, I get hung up on what if the existing game theory makes it too difficult to change the system to address its shortcomings.

I am struggling to envision how the cryptoeconomics of a crypto system can remain 'fresh' over decades or centuries.

@natechastain @hashedMae Product (Platform) vs Protocol. How do you incent people to build with OpenSea rather than competing? What’s your protocol play?

@hashedMae Here’s my counter argument: unless a DAO voted in a full-time team, there’s no way that community voting can operate at the speed necessary for a growth-stage startup. We’re making hundreds of decisions every day and the overhead of community control there would be significant.

OpenSea is crushing it by every conceivable metric right now, so in the interest of avoiding complacency: If in two years OpenSea has failed, what killed us?
