I think Wagner is mostly right but he should recognize there are a lot of traditional moralists who acknowledge that (while excluding French kissing and such) not all kisses between, say, engaged couples constitute a near occasion for either consenting to venereal pleasure or even for stirring up within themselves involuntary venereal pleasure. Some even distinguish between merely sensual delight and venero-sensual delight. Whether they’re correct is another matter but they aren’t laxists either
