Dana White continuing to say that Khabib walked away because he got too rich or too famous is incredibly disrespectful. Khabib’s reason for walking away might be the most honorable reason anyone has ever given us. He’s said it numerous times: his father passed away, his mother asked him to stop, so he stopped — and he’s never even flirted with the idea of returning, even though the UFC has offered him fights like GSP in the past. Khabib’s frustration couldn’t be more justified. Dana’s comments on this topic are ludicrous in general, but they’re especially insensitive considering Khabib’s circumstances.
