Apart from @MTNNG, @Airtel, and @GloWorld, these terrible Nigerian telecoms companies, I also pay about £72 monthly for @elonmusk’s @Starlink, even @Starlink only the service still works only sporadically. Nigerians are being forced to pay premium prices for substandard, unreliable digital access in a country where communication is now essential for survival, business, and civic participation. It is time to fight to reclaim our digital communication rights from these subscriber looters. To set up an average TV/ radio station and run it for 10 years will cost billions. To send a journalist to investigate a story will cost millions. Inflation also affects the media. Good media costs money and it’s harder because the Private sector has limited adverts due to the economy

We were all confused when we signed Endo, but the way he’s transformed this side has been such a pleasant surprise. We function about 10x better when he starts. To lose Caicedo and Lavia, only to get something for about an 1/8th of the price who’s had this impact? Wow.

Why are we so dishonest as a people? You can go a full day without encountering a honest person. It’s that bad. Even with small thing like a Bolt ride. A driver will want to cancel a ride because he couldn’t negotiate offline trip, he will choose “rider not answering calls” as reason for cancellation just because he wants his rating intact. A rider will want to cancel a ride because he sudden changed his mind and the reason he will choose on the app is “driver not moving after accepting ride” just because he doesn’t want to be penalized. Then the driver’s rating will be affected. Your mechanic, after giving you heavy bill filled with overpriced original materials he will need, transportation cost and workmanship, he will enter market to buy cheap fake materials just so you can come again. Immediately government announced subsidized train boarding during the yuletide period, NRC staff bought the whole tickets and started reselling at higher prices. Why is it hard for us to be honest?

Less than 48 hrs after inauguration, Remi Tinubu has already overstepped her boundaries as First Lady and is now sitting in meetings with the CBN govt. Why on earth will the First Lady be briefed on economic matters by the CBN and NNPCL? Emefiele has been a disgrace to the Central bank. He has made a caricature of the institution. The NNPCL has always been a joke, albeit an expensive one. We won’t tolerate the gross disregard of national institutions again. This nonsense must stop. The First Lady is a ceremonial title, not an elected office that should be briefed on matters of the economy. As for the Iyaloja of Agbado, that one concern am. She can call herself anything she likes.
