@TheRajGiri MMA and boxing are sports though. WWE is a TV show. They're not singing on a dude wipes stage on American Idol.

I think a lot of the problems with the ads on the mat, apron etc. is that we have decades of it not happening in WWE, so it's an adjustment. It's been done outside of WWE with MMA and boxing forever.
But some of the stuff has gotten so bad. Adam Weistman buying himself onto the commentary team (although he didn't say a word) was shameless

I will be 100% honest: WrestleMania 42 felt soulless. The whole thing felt soulless. That’s the term I use for the Apex, and that’s the term I use when I see the AI stuff—but this was on a different level. That did not feel like WrestleMania. It felt stripped down. It didn’t feel big. I’m not against advertising, but there are ways to do it with grace and class. Literally everything was for sale. They have gone from nothing to completely overboard.

on this shitty espn app i'm getting long blank spaces that say commercial break with elevator music, then commercials play, then it jumps back about a half hour so i have to forward to the current live show only to be hit with more commercials. #wrestlemania F @wwe Nick Khan TKO

WWE is pouring ads down your throat on Netflix and ESPN because it’s the only way they’re making any $, because not nearly as many people are watching any of the programs as they want you to believe.

I get it, you might not like the “Trouble” song, but you can’t downplay the whole entrance just because of that
Entrances like this are what make WrestleMania feel like WrestleMania. And Liv absolutely delivered.

If tomorrow sucks, #WrestleMania is dead as we know it. All the extra fun stuff like surprises, cameos, and backstage interviews have been replaced by ESPN ads, Applebees commercials, video packages, and announcer yapping. Corporate dipshits screwing with creative. 4 hour show, about an hour 20-ish of wrestling. Two hours of bullshit.
The talent works hard, none of this is on them, but these matches are pretty typical for TV or PPV. I'm not asking anyone to go out and k*ll themselves, this ain't AEW, but there used to be a Mania-match feel that was absent from most of Saturday's matches. Night 2 has potential, but we're still going to have APPLEBEES COMMMERCIALS.
Mania can definitely still have it's moments (congrats Bianca), production and entrances are badass, but that Mania day feeling inside is gone. It's like how McDonalds used to look in the 80s/90s compared to the gray box of shit it's become now. That's what this has done to my nostalgia.
Brag about your gates and your viral moments all you want, but back in the day even the bad WrestleManias still felt like WrestleMania. Y'all have absolutely murdered that feeling. Thanks, @WWE. As a fan of 44 years I can't tell you what that means to me.

@IYOSZN all the commercials are distracting to the flow. between matches at older manias they had to be creative with match hype, backstage promos, etc. now every hole is filled with a commercial. sad
