It's a lot to take on board, but the Corona pandemic is just a taste of what a microbe crisis can affect. This is an arms race we've been fighting in the background for decades and we must take action now, not when it's too late.

Corona virus gave us a taste of a global microbe crisis, a pandemic. We must look ahead to establish new industrial and health care processes to prevent antimicrobial resistance, AMR.

Managing or exploiting biofilms in the real world is hard, especially when you can't easily compare results! If these biofilm experts can standardise testing, it will accelerate development of things like new medical therapies and greener/low maintenance supply lines. Good luck!

@Copper3D_Global We recently went along to a workshop of @ukbiofilms. I didnty hear anything about such novel 3D print materials being used to manage biofilm. Wonder if this material would limit biofilm growth?

Wow! This is an amazing application of a very smart innovation in 3D printing filament.

@breno_salgado @ukbiofilms Why does it matter? Researchers have spent years "putting plasma on things" and "seeing effects". Infact, we can do better by isolating the useful chemistry and treating the plasma as a circuit component. 🤓🧐🤯

@breno_salgado @ukbiofilms NOxLab uses ambient pressure air and electricity to make room temperature gas nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide, but honestly, the hot topic isn't so much plasma, it's what you do with the chemistry...like manage biofilms in convoluted manifolds!
