The Division of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Toronto is deeply saddened to share that Dominique Vervoort passed away on February 16, 2026. Dom was a star whose contributions, energy, and impact will not be forgotten.

Heartbroken to share the passing of Dr. Dominique Vervoort (31), a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon, Vanier Scholar, and co‑founder of InciSioN. A pioneer in global surgery, advocate for equity, and mentor to many—his vision will echo for generations. Forever in our hearts. 🕊️
