Enjoying our last sunny day of Year 4. The children have done so well this year making lots of progress and some fantastic achievements. Thank you for a fantastic year, Mrs Colby and Miss South 😊💚

So many certificates given out in todays assembly. It was amazing to celebrate achievements from across the year! 💫

Today we started our innovated writing on formal letters requesting new school equipment for our playground! @GRPARowan @GreenRidgeR2

Today in @GRPARowan we were translating coordinate points on a grid!

Today @GRPARowan evaluated the results of our experiment testing the effect different liquids have on our enamel. We put eggs in different liquids and observed the changes. We noticed that orange juice had the greatest affect on the egg shell! @GreenRidgeR2

In maths this morning, we were learning how to describe the position using coordinates. We used the grid on the playground to label our axis and plot the points before describing them to a friend. @GRPARowan

@GRPARowan We started our new unit in Maths today - Statistics! We think we’re going to enjoy this unit! #marvellousmaths

Yesterday we had the opportunity to take part in some exercises alongside the very inspiring gold medalist Paralympian @kyliegrimes.

At swimming today we learned about water safety at the beach and what the different coloured flags mean. We then recreated the waves in the pool and in turn practised swimming against the waves! #watersafety #swimming 🚩🏁

We loved having a visit from Miss Riley for our weekly German lesson. 🇩🇪🗺️

Year 4’s final display change for the year. It was amazing to see the progress that has been made since September.

What a trip! @GRPARowan and @GRPAAsh absolutely loved their visit to the Hare Krishna Temple in Watford today. We visited the shrine, fed the cows and dressed up in saris and turbans. @GreenRidgeR2

In science #GRPARowan have been learning about human teeth. We learned the names of the teeth and the different layers. We also learned how sugar and plaque build up affects our enamel. We can’t wait for next lesson!😁 @GreenRidgeR2

The great debate! Today we held a debate in @GRPARowan on deforestation with arguments for and against. First we sorted the facts into 2 piles, then we confidently debated in pairs and finally we held a class debate! @GreenRidgeR2

Another day of Bikeability for Year 4! 🚲

@GRPARowan and @GRPAAsh have completed their Bikeability training this morning. They now know how to prepare themselves for a journey, set off, pedal, cycle one handed, control their speed and stop. 🚲

Today in science @GPRARowan we were exploring the teeth of herbivores, omnivores and carnivores. We researched the diet of animals for these classifications and looked at their teeth. We loved looking at the skulls and teeth. We are so ready for next lesson! 💀📚🦷@GreenRidgeR2

We have been getting to know our model text in English today and creating our own glossaries of some of the technical vocabulary. @GRPARowan

Rowan had a great time this afternoon painting their flower sculptures. We then evaluated them and shared what we liked and disliked. #creativity
