The problem was not that Achillia was a black woman, this is entirely justified in the narrative. The problem is what they do with her.
And it is catastrophic if the 97,000 viewers thing is accurate because it means more people watched my review than the show.

Starz has canceled Spartacus: House of Ashur after one season. The series aired 10 episodes The show followed Ashur, in an alternate story where he survives and becomes the owner of a gladiator school in Capua. His top fighter was Achillia, a female black gladiator. The finale reportedly got around 97,000 viewers. One report claimed “the makeup of the follow-up’s audience did not quite align with Starz’s focus on women and underrepresented audiences.”

Finally confirmed and still a dumb idea.
Now their games are going to sell to fewer people and games which don’t perform well (like the recent Saros), are likely going to lead to more studio closures.

Louis Rossmann fights for buyers' rights and recently spoke out against Electronic Arts over problems with Dead Space 2. The PC version of the game came out in 2011 and uses special copy protection called TAGES SolidShield. This system only lets you start the game on five computers, after which you can get locked out. Simple things like reinstalling Windows, upgrading your graphics card, or installing the game on a new device often use up all five starts. When that happens, you cannot play the single-player game anymore even if you paid for it. EA stopped providing tools to fix activations years ago and no longer supports the game. But they still sell it on Steam for about $20 with no warning about the problem. In a new video, Rossmann shared a buyer’s bad experience. He says cases like this make some people think piracy is fair because if a company sells a game but stops helping you play it, you do not truly own what you bought.

1997 - I'd been playing Final Fantasy 7.
I was just about to the end.
My little brother was having problems with the DemonWall and asked me to beat it for him ‐ I ground out a couple of levels for him, and beat it.
I then accidentally saved over my save file.
My single save file.
I nearly had a mental breakdown.
Instead, I went back through the game using the walk through my brother had printed out, got all the side content, bred a gold chocobo, got Knights of the Round, etc.
Got all the way back to where all I had to do is go beat Sephiroth.
And to this day I still haven't beat the game.
