The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it. -Albert Einstein

This is Amy Biehl; a bright, compassionate 26-year-old American who went to South Africa in 1993 to help fight apartheid and support democracy. While driving through a township near Cape Town, she was pulled from her car by a mob chanting “Kill the settler!” and “One settler, one bullet.” She was stoned, beaten, and stabbed to death in a frenzied racial attack simply because she was White.

[WATCH] "We are tried by a magistrate who doesn't read, who reads when you appear in front of her." EFF leader Julius Malema calls Magistrate Twanet Olivier a racist and possibly a member of Afriforum. #Newzroom405

🇿🇦 BREAKING: Julius Malema, famous for the “Kill the Boer” chant, was just sentenced to effectively 5 years imprisonment and R60 000 in fines. This stems from an unrelated firearms offence case in 2018 where he shot a firearm into a crowd of people. Follow: @europa

Justice prevails: @afriforum welcomes the court’s decision to sentence convicted felon @Julius_S_Malema to five years’ direct imprisonment. Malema and the @EFFSouthAfrica acted with impunity and it was essential for the court to send a clear message that no one is above the law. This judgment reinforces the principles of accountability and equality before the law. Although it took eight years for justice to prevail, this outcome demonstrates that persistence matters. AfriForum will thus continue to fight for justice and to ensure that the criminal justice system fulfils its mandate without fear, favour or prejudice. This ruling should serve as a warning to politicians and others who contravene the law: they will be held accountable.

@BBCWorld False. Malema hasn’t been sentenced to 5 years — the court hasn’t even delivered a final ruling yet. Stop spreading misinformation.”

@CityofJoburgZA You can spend millions renaming roads, but can’t fix potholes, traffic lights, or basic services. It just shows how out of touch you are with how bad JHB really is. If this is your priority, you’ve fundamentally misread the crisis. This won’t win you votes. We welcome the DA!

The City of Johannesburg is proposing new street names to honour iconic figures like Desmond Tutu, Simeon Nkoane, and Trevor Huddleston. This initiative goes beyond the renaming of streets, it seeks to embed history, legacy, and shared values into the fabric of our city.
