⚫ Shipwreck off #Lampedusa Yesterday, Alarm Phone alerted authorities to a boat with ~35 people in #Malta SAR zone. They failed to act. The boat capsized, we fear about 20 deaths. We cannot express our anger at yet another group consciously being left to die.

🆘 About 100 people who tried to escape the brutal conditions in #Tunisia were intercepted by the Tunisian coastguard, arrested & deported into the Algerian desert. Most phones got confiscated to prevent them from calling for help. For a while now, we cannot reach them anymore.
