As part of #ChildlineGib focus on #EarlyIntervention and equipping #youngpeople with skills to improve their #wellbeing , we have been delivering sessions @GibCollege Gibraltar College On #mentalhealth.

Covid Update.

🥳 4 students from @GibCollege @educationgovgib @GibraltarGov have completed their training to become #ChildlineWellbeingChampions This peer-led project will enable #youngpeople to improve #wellbeing & #mentalhealth, equipping the #children of our #Gibraltar #community

Students on the Personal and Social Development Course went on a guided tour of the Northern Defences. Tito Vallejo spoke about the history and shared many interesting anecdotes.

🆕 🧠 🔈4 students from @GibCollege @educationgovgib @GibraltarGov have completed our new Community Engagement program raising #mentalhealthawareness for #youngpeople. 🚹 Our aim is to equip #children with skills and knowledge to reduce & prevent issues becoming a crisis

Students completing healthy eating module had a chance to work with headchef Dani at @wagamama_gib. They prepared a full days menu for a person who is vegan and this was a great chance to learn first-hand what needs to be taken into consideration.

Productive day today talking to the Head Students at Westside, @BaysideGib and @GibCollege, and visiting Governor’s Meadow and Bishop Fitzgerald Primary Schools. Great to the the quick recovery from the fire. Thanks to all staff and students for your welcome!

Students Natalie Orciel and Jade Yusifredo volunteered to take part in a discussion, as part of a study based on 'llanito language' by Marta Rodriguez Garcia (University of Basel, Switzerland) As a thanks Marta treated them to breakfast at Mons Calpe Suite. Thank you Marta!

Students enrolled on the Personal and Social Development Programme visited #Wagamamas as part of their Healthy Eating and Food Hygiene Modules.

The Mayor, John Gonçalves was shown round the Gibraltar College of Further Education by College Principal Michelle Soiza, including many of the different classrooms and the unique vegetable garden created by some of the students.

🥳This week students from @GibCollege completed their training to become our first #ChildlineGib #Wellbeing Champions! To promote a wellbeing in the College Community they created a poster on the 5 Ways to Well-being, aiming to increase Resilience & improve students #mentalhealth

His Worship the Mayor, Mr John Gonçalves MBE GMD, today visited the Gibraltar College of Further Education where he had the opportunity to learn of the aspirations and ambitions of the students.
