@GoblinJusta You’re right, but It’s a silly method of engagement imo. Every attempt to engage with you that gets ignored becomes a bigger group of people who think you ain’t shit and it seems to me to be super counterproductive.

Does anyone else find it a little frustrating when people complain on Twitter that ‘no-one asks them for collabs’ and then when you go ‘hmm I’ll ask because I like their vibe’ they just don’t respond? Not even a ‘No thanks, but I appreciate you reaching out’? It’s a very small but decent thing to politely respond to someone who’s chosen to reach out to you in response to you wanting people to reach out. Like… it seems to me like the bare minimum for polite conduct. (And yes I know there’s many possible and valid reasons not to, but I’m human, and I’m allowed to be frustrated by what appears to be an industry standard at this point.)

Sometimes I feel like I stream too much, but like I love just going live all day, been doing it for 5 years now and it never gets old to me. Any other vtubers feel this way?

ARE YOU A SMALLER CONTENT CREATOR?? I might not be the best streamer out there but my advice to newer streamers is.... TALK! YAP! SPEAK! Going like 5 mins or 10 mins or even 2 mins without saying a single thing is DISASTROUS for growth. Talk about things. Be impulsive! If it comes to mind, maybe yap about it with your chat! It's insane to me how many people I've seen stream in complete silence to 0 viewers. Then when they ask for advice and I say "Maybe talk more???" A BUNCH of them are basically like "Theres no one in chat??? Why would I be talking when theres no one to talk to???" This is, without a doubt, one of the WORST mindsets to have if you ever want to succeed as a content creator. All stream you're advertising yourself to any new viewers that come in. They come in, see what's up, then move on if it isn't what they like. They'll almost certainly move on if all they come across is silence. Some things that can help: - Take notes through your day. Even small things that happen can be a catalyst for a long discussion on stream - Check current news. If you're into games, check new game trailers. Check new movie trailers. Read articles about weird things happening so you can talk about them but MAKE SURE THEY'RE RECENT! - If you don't take notes, just try to make mental notes of things you'd like to talk about. Maybe even bring some friends into your chatting segments to have more back and forth! - You want to avoid using chat exclusively for things to discuss. However it's not the worst thing to see people asking things like "did you see this??" Or "did you hear about this???" and then have a convo about it! There's a lot you can do! These are just some of my tips. I'm not exactly the perfect streamer so take my advice with a grain of salt.~ Good luck!

@rollinseal Been a variety streamer since I started, it may be hard to find a dedicated viewership but the people who are there for whatever you're playing is the best, def worth it

being a variety streamer is really a curse i've been really trying to understand what to do but i jump on different things everytime that finding an audience is very tough imo

Because when you open up to people they just use it against you when it's convenient for them. Made that mistake opening up to my ex who then used my biggest fears against me.
