If you remove an attached tick, you MUST go get a round of doxycycline immediately. Do not let the doctor tell you to “wait and see” and it does not matter if you have a rash or not. Lyme disease is easy to kill off if treated immediately. If left unchecked it can turn into an absolute nightmare that could ruin your life. It’s just not worth the risk.

Since tick season is upon us, I thought I’d share the tool I use for tick removal. It’s called the Tick Key. It’s super easy to use, as I demonstrate in the video. I’d rather be prepared with a proper removal tool than MacGyver removing a tick with tweezers and risk not getting the whole tick out, which can cause more problems afterward. After removal, it’s always a good idea to clean the area and keep an eye on it for any irritation or symptoms. Stay safe out there this season!🌿
