Every independent voter I know is voting for @realDonaldTrump

In 2020, every independent voter I knew was voting for Biden. In 2024, every independent and many former Dems are voting for Donald Trump.

TODAY: Kamala Harris speaks in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, blatantly and knowingly lying to her audience. She falsely states Trump will ban abortion, nationwide, stop access to birth control, threaten IVF, and follow Project 2025.

What does it mean to "return to the old ways?"
Can we do that? Should we?
While modern technology and cultural changes have facilitated equity and opportunity for many people, the same modern conveniences have complicated life. We find ourselves unable to "unplug" and walk away from conflict. The pressure to always be available interferes with caring for families and ourselves. The metaphorical "rat race" consumes many people and their best intentions.
At the same time, the "old ways" may mean losing technology supporting our jobs, education, or health. Even traditional "old ways" communities, like some Amish groups, have acknowledged that computerized tractors, mobile phones, and internet connections may be necessary to conduct business with the modern world.
So, what do we reject, and what do we keep?
That answer is individual. Off-grid homes may still keep cell phones to conduct business or check on school cancelations. Families might ban screen time or move their families away from cities and their modern influences. Still others may use viral videos to learn their "old ways" skills.
After acknowledging that we're free to incorporate modern amenities with healthy traditions, we can choose how to live. We can move to places that offer the necessary amenities while preserving the old ways.
We invite you to make a checklist. What modern amenities do you need? What can you give up? What traditions or old ways would you like to learn and incorporate into your lives? And, if you could create an environment that incorporates this marriage of modern and traditional elements, what would it look like?
The Farm at Okefenokee offers a lifestyle that incorporates modern necessities while offering traditions at a level that allows you to choose your level of participation. Our special event with podcaster Robert Breedlove, the weekend of November 15-18, offers a taste of this opportunity. Check out our website at okefarm.com, and then email info@okefarm.com with any questions.
