@CrimeWatchZW Tried engaging with Varun about that issue but they don't respond. their Corporate Social Responsibility is only based at schools like St Johns Green blazer and yet Houghton Park primary is right next door to them.

WATCH | Good Morning Crime Watch. Please hide my ID. Thank you for being the voice of the voiceless through your platform. My situation is not a criminal case, but a cry for help to the relevant authorities.
I am a resident of Houghton Park, and we are facing serious problems in our community. Our area has become heavily affected by environmental pollution. We have tried to engage our councillor, who is our elected representative, but unfortunately we have not received any help.
We are home to Varun Beverages, which is the Zimbabwe’s second-largest beverage manufacturing company. I am not sure if the company’s management is aware of the problems we are facing, but I hope this platform will help bring the issue to their attention.
The company is releasing wastewater without a proper drainage system. It flows freely and passes right at the entrance of Houghton Park Primary School. This creates a serious health risk, especially for children.
The most urgent issue is the foul-smelling water they release at night. The smell is so strong that it disturbs sleep and makes it hard to rest. In short, sleeping in our community has become a nightmare. As I write this, I have not been able to sleep because of the smell.
In addition, our community is being used as a detour for Simon Maz construction work, which has been ongoing for some time. The roads are now badly damaged, and traffic has increased. This has led to heavy dust during the day and smoke from industries at night.
We are now living in dust and smoke every day and night.
I sincerely hope something can be done so that residents and industries can coexist peacefully.
Thank you for posting.

Ngizwe Mchunu walked into an electronics store run by an Ethiopian in Joburg and said to the salesmen: "I want that tv."The salesperson shook his head and said, "No, we don't sell to Zulus." So he left and came back dressed like a Venda and said: "I'll take that tv." Again the salesman said: "No, we don't sell to Zulus." So he left again and came back dressed like a Xhosa and said: "I want that tv." But the salesman still said: "No, we don't sell to Zulus." Finally he got fed up and said, "That's it! How'd you know I was a Zulu?!" he asked. The salesman answered: "Cause that's a microwave.”

@PhakelaMthakath History has already shown where this mentality leads. Xenophobia destroys economies, scares away investment, weakens regional unity, and stains a nation’s image. Today u attack foreigners 4 being poor and hustling; 2mrw skilled professionals and investors
English

@Am_Blujay What’s ironic is that the same people screaming “foreigners must leave” are often using products built by foreigners, driving cars designed overseas, wearing imported clothes, and dreaming of emigrating themselves when things get hard.
English

@Am_Blujay If anything, many immigrants build businesses, pay rent, create jobs, circulate money, and survive through hard work in environments where many locals were told to wait for opportunities instead of creating them.
