ALERT: Hero NYPD officers help save a sobbing woman from jumping off the roof of a Brooklyn high-rise.
Officers responded after 911 calls about the woman dangling her feet off the edge of the building.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman sobbing and crying, sitting dangerously close to the edge.
The Emergency Services Unit arrives and sets up safety hitches, and 3 officers climb over the railing and sit with the woman.
One officer said, “We can sit here for 10 minutes. We can sit here for half an hour. I just want to make sure that you’re safe.”
She eventually cooperated, and they were able to bring her safely onto the roof.

ALERT: Volcano eruption kills 3 and injures 5 hikers after they defied the park's orders not to climb the mountain in Indonesia.
20 hikers began climbing Mount Dukono, which has been erupting almost continuously since 1933 on the remote island of Halmahera, disregarding the park's safety restrictions due to the volcano's high possibility of eruption.
The volcano was recorded on seismographs for more than 16 minutes, spewing a thick column of ash about 6 miles high, killing 2 men and a woman.
Rescue teams were able to evacuate 15 people safely. The bodies of the deceased have not been recovered yet.
