Going to start sharing some fun @Fortnite BR Dev Stories because I've been here almost 10 years and we've had a lot of really great, silly and frankly ridiculous times. Hopefully these bring you a laugh or a smile, we could all use a little more of those right now 🫡

I was impacted by the recent layoffs at Epic. It’s been a fun ride. I've been so lucky to be part of such amazing team. It’s a tough moment across the industry, and it’s hard seeing so many talented people affected. Grateful for these 7 years, and looking forward to what’s next❤️‍🩹

for anyone affected by the epic games layoffs, i’ve come across a few people who either have connections or are sharing direct opportunities. i’ll share what i’ve found in the replies below 📌

I was part of the Epic layoffs today. I worked as a Art Outsource Lead overseeing Fortnite Lego minifigs. I worked on everything from K-Pop DH, to huge streamers and minifigs for the latest Superman movies. If you’re looking for a Outsource Lead, Lead Or Char artist let me know!

One last thing - I’ve never been laid off. Ever. I’ve had steady work since I was 22 years old. I’ve never had a chance to just “help out.” If you’ve got a project that needs help, let me know. I’ve got free time now, so time to give back, make new friends, and do cool things.

Got hit by this, as did many of my super talented buds in QA. If anyone in the Seattle area is hiring, ya boy needs help. And if you know of work in Cary, I'd be happy to pass it on to other folk

I was impacted by today’s layoffs at Epic. Truly came out of nowhere for me. Right before my birthday, too. I really liked Epic. Really liked the teams. Really liked what we were doing in music. So it’s all a shock. Time to breathe for a minute. Then onward and upward.

I am safe from the Epic Layoffs. Please please please, support the folks who were laid off. Their talent is worth more than their weight in gold. This shit sucks man...

Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl half time show was 10x more entertaining than the game itself. Don’t let people make you feel weird for supporting and loving ALL of the cultures that the world has to offer. To me that is what America is all about.
