Trent Horn has to be one of my all time favorite apologists. He is equal parts deft and winsome in his apologetics. I come away from each video feeling genuinely encouraged.
Never understood the hate lobbed at the Catholic Answers guys.

Declining corporate support for Pride events may signal a political shift, but conservatives should be cautious about mistaking a tactical retreat for a lasting cultural transformation.

I watched the video of the couple revealing the prenatal test results. Hard viewing. My main takeaway is that the husband was weak. He should have comforted his wife, but he made her more desperate. A little more courage from him, a sense of safety and confidence to share with her, “It’s ok babe, we got this”, might change the frame, leading to different conversations, just as much a matter of life and death but far short of debates about “the ethics of abortion”.
The culture of death is downstream of “men without chests”.

@JoshHochschild Someone once showed me the best way to obscure writing wasn't to scribble over it, but to write new words over top. It would be very sad if AI hallucinations alienate the everyman from the wisdom of Aquinas, especially as he is being rediscovered by so many.

Heard about a recently published article, lets say generally in the area of Thomism, filled with hallucinated quotations. Easy to identify for someone who knew the scholarly territory.
The journal editor, when offered clear documentation and some standard options for correcting the scholarly record, refused to address it.
I expect something will be published about this eventually, but it is bad enough that "scholars" are polluting the discourse with AI slop. Fabricated quotations in scholarship about the history of ideas are especially insidious. It's somewhat disturbing that the problem wasn't caught during peer review. But since the corrupt article was published, it is much more scandalous that an editor wouldn't take easy and reasonable steps to safeguard the integrity of a journal.

If we wish to undo the effects of cultural fragmentation, music must be point of focus - particularly music we make together!

Crazy take here, but this is actually super cool and inspiring to young men.
We want to offer sacrifice like Christ. We want a religion with near military regiment. We want this level of devotion and brotherhood.
Chartres is straight 🔥🔥🔥

From 4:00 a.m. onwards, each priest can celebrate his own Mass in one of the three tents set up with several altars. This was one of them.

@CCanuck4 The fascinating part of this critique lies in the power of God to create life. Hebrews 11 makes a pretty striaght forward case that Abraham had Faith God would raise his only beloved son from the dead - something all too true.
English

The binding of Isaac is almost like a reverse breakfast question where low IQ people get obsessed over hypotheticals ("BUT WHAT IF ABRAHAM DID IT?!") instead of just reading the story as it is.

"Pope Benedict XVI once said that the Holy Spirit was, in some ways, the neglected Person of the Most Blessed Trinity. His work is almost always invisible – moving the heart and conforming the sons of God to the image of the Son. Yet some of this neglect is not merely an accident of the Holy Spirit’s hidden activity. It is partly a failure of memory."

@GmorganJr Bold of you to call out Sola Scriptura like that! Right on

@RandalRauser Actually, I'd be pretty stoked if a muslim student preached the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ. I'd go to that grad ceremony any day!
English

Christians would be outraged if a Muslim student did this.

This newborn baby was found in a dumpster in Houston, Texas. "The child appeared to be fresh out of the womb, with his hair wet, his skin pruned and his umbilical cord still attached." Thankfully, he survived
