The majority of current Formula One teams, including McLaren, Aston Martin, Red Bull, Williams and Mercedes, have their headquarters and operations in the UK, further cementing the country’s status as a global motorsport powerhouse. In recent weeks, Aston Martin has unveiled its new £200m Silverstone factory and Mercedes announced plans to invest a further £30m upgrading its Brackley F1 factory (main image). The German manufacturer employs more than 1.250 people at the Northamptonshire site where it has invested £40 million over the last five years. In addition to this, McLaren is repurposing its former F1 factory in Woking to become a new composites facility as part of a range of major infrastructure upgrades, and Red Bull opened a new engine development and manufacturing plant at its Milton Keynes campus last year. #UKmfg🇬🇧
