Come back with a current affairs programme, sharp, structured, uncomfortable, the kind of show where powerful people sweat under studio lights and ordinary Nigerians get the questions actually answered, hosted by a man who has already survived two public storms with his dignity completely intact, which means nobody can threaten him, blackmail him, or buy him with a land allocation. Nigeria needs a broadcaster who has nothing left to lose and everything to say, and after what you have been through Frank, that man is you. If we don’t have capable Nigerians for these jobs you say why are many Nigerians working with bigger companies? I think the reason for you not having the type of employees you want is the salary and pay package. I know many of Nigerians in tech who are working remotely and earning in top dollar. Why will they want to get employed and be paid change?

There are qualified people. They are simply not applying because you want to pay them peanuts… So the unqualified ones flood the application portals.

There is something we need to understand in this country before we blame the youth or the employers. First, there is no university in Nigeria that teaches useful programming and coding or tech engineering. These programmers or coders spend their time and resources learning this stuff on their own. Why don’t we have many young people useful is simply because there is no place to learn these stuff and people to show the way. Why is Yahoo rampant? Because there are many HK around. A Yahoo HK chairman is willing to teach than a programmer is willing to teach you. The root cause is our educational system. We learn nothing useful in the university.
