@Yameiena Wow what a sweeping statement. Everything was great in 19-20 just because of the regime in place. These things don’t change overnight. Our people have generally become impatient and passively aggressive over time. Attributing it to a regime is intellectual dishonesty.

The last i worked in any govt set up was during my house job in 2019-2020 . Attendants were mostly respectful, the culture of black mailing by taking the camera on was minimal , some used to be fussy too. I saw my prof of surgery giving his life in line of duty during first wave of covid . I saw many colleagues who went on ventilators , i saw us doing CPRs on our own fellows but no dr refused to work when the whole nation went on to work from home and followed social distancing. Then i see a corrupt regime taking over and slowly spewing venom against drs in general public through bureaucracy, tiktok and media and changing narratives where they are a subject to murder, harassment allegations , beating , non consensual videographing , acid attacks. The downfall of this regime will be iconic and the crippling health care system would take away everything with it

Today, instead of explaining why many commitments remain unfulfilled, we are told that arrests, internet shutdowns, school closures, postponed exams, and banning a public movement are simply "what the state must do." If a movement demanding implementation of signed agreements can be labelled a threat, then the issue is no longer JAAC. The issue becomes whether governments are accountable to the people and whether agreements mean anything at all. The real question is not what the state will do. @MazherArshad I see where you are coming from and agree. To excel at both you need to be generational.

In Pakistan, it is difficult to excel at both. With PSL + two foreign leagues and international cricket increasingly focused on T20Is, your ultimate aim naturally becomes becoming a better T20 cricketer even if it comes at the cost of your Test game.

@MazherArshad If you are good enough you can do both. Fazal wasn’t given an extended run in his natural slot by Pindiz otherwise he was one of the top run getters of the national t20 too. But you are right PSL looks more lucrative and a better financial decision than tests obviously

If you are a young batter like Azan Awais or Abdullah Fazal and see PSL batters earning PKR 8-10 crore a season while Test batters get only 6-7 matches a year and few T20 chances, which path would you choose? Honest answers only. No “Test cricket is real cricket” lip service.
