Which one holds up better after 40 years?

@EddieTrunk Eddie, just observ from us listeners they talk about new releases. Why is everything (albums) new awesome, incredible, outstanding, etc. People need to relax & not sensationalizing everything new. Then 3 years from now no one talks about the album or listens to it.

I will never understand why artists with huge deep catalogs do cover songs live. I get it’s cool / different for them. But if I’m going to see an act with a deep big catalog I love I want to hear their songs. Unless they had a hit with that cover. Then I get it. IMO

@EddieTrunk @IronMaiden Maybe heavy rock fans just don’t give a sh$&. The genres core was founded by anti establishment and rebel against corporate BS. I think staying away says more than being in. Chrissy Hyde had a great quote few years back on this whole rock hall garbage.

I think it’s driven by mass indifference to the institution by rock fans , and in the case of Maiden they have expressed major disinterest in it. Bruce has spoken against it. If @IronMaiden activated their fan base and said they wanted to be in, they’d instantly go to the top. That being said the fan vote is essentially meaningless and doesn’t get bands in anyway. But if Maiden told their fans to vote, they’d dominate this. They’ve been snubbed so long now I think the band and the fans are over it. If they get in it will end up being like Priest, Randy and others, a side category that circumvents the voters. Sad but true.
