@Hellyer7 @wjpa Fair enough. The steward (he was wearing a grinch xmas tshirt) they interviewed certainly didn't portray it that way.

Ippy cancelled reportedly for a single jock that’s always the needle in the haystack. Just letting you know that the track looked sensational after the storm, trainers and stewards reportedly agreed. Owners and connections not even given a thought🤬 Qld Racing need to do better

@nudger11 @wjpa Well i was in the room when stewards made there decision, there were concerns from both sides however stewards STATED that they were not comfortable with the track.

@Hellyer7 @wjpa This is incorrect Michael. STC interviewed a steward straight after decision was made n he categorically stated that some jockeys weren't happy to continue as there were some hoof prints that had water in them.

@wjpa Certain sections of the track had decent holes in them that were filled with water from the rain, some sections of the track was perfectly fine just heavy

@Hellyer7 I appreciate your response Mick and take on board. That however is a very different report from the stables, members and yard. If it was unsafe then that’s a different discussion, but not what was provided to myself and fellow attendees. It’s very disappointing in the end.
