I agree. The process of making it varies tho. As a streamer you start with nothing and you invest alot. There no guarantee you'll make it to. But once your their, your good. Also you still gotta make bread. Can't imagine being a streamer without working on the side. Also you gotta put in the hours and really plan your route as a streamer. 9-5 is definitely harder in the sense that you can have a shit job, shit pay, shit everything but you still getting paid right off the back.

Female gamers are there but their rare. Honestly the online community is bad no matter if your a girl or boy. If your a girl, its just another reason to get roasted by someone toxic. I think to thrive in any online space you need a thick skin. The girls who choose not to climb are eliminated by natural selection, and those girls who do climb are gods amongst gamers.

So if men have no advantage in e-sports, where are all the female top- esport players? Women are 51% of the population, yet every e-sports League, that isn't specifically for women, have no female players. Surely there should be at least a few that make it to the top 🤔

@VGBC_GimR The idea of the ban itself is whatever, last I checked steve's don't care about the feel of it being akin to a ban, they care about how it's unfair when steve doesn't break the game using the stages itself compared to other characters. Like Kazuya on FD for example...

Why are so many people acting as if Supernova's Steve Stage clause is the same as banning the character? Do people really think him not being able to mine iron every millisecond hurts the character that much? He can camp and wall himself in the corner regardless of stage.

I forgot to mention planking.... those characters cant do anything about it but maybe a stage list overhaul would change that. Honestly id prefer a larger or different stage list tbh. Some stages will change the entire flowchart for steve completly. Nerfing him through the stage list isn't going to do much but we will see a change in the approach. I think smash would benefit from this and take out duplicate like Stages like sv and hollow. We need stage variety with such a large cast of characters.

@Hyushii @Mr_RSmash Where you get that numbers from? 8-2? But you said it pretty well in the following sentence, he has strong weak points that can't be covered up at top level. The last part is really good aswell, we basically share the same opinion. Both of these things make him not banworthy

He's not brawl MK levels of broken, but I'd argue that picking up MK from scratch and getting to top level was significantly harder than it is with Steve in Ultimate. Steve simplifies the game for you in a way that even brawl MK didn't Said it before and I'll say it again, Steve carries people harder than *any* other character in Smash history has and I will die on that hill

I agree. Hes Not ban worthy but I think the stage list nerf seems appropriate and it doesnt burt to test it once. Steve weaknesses are barely weaknesses, and he barely suffers from stage disadvantages. Every stage gives steve an new advantage. I dont think he would be affected, instead I think steve players will improve and learn new gameplans. People fighting steve has to break their neck to find a winning gameplan, while the steve player creates any gameplan he wants. Im brackets, normally if steve wins game one, this results in him getting final stage pick in game 3. The advantage that he gains in the final stage pick is to astronomical in my opinion and can easily decide the winner by applying certain tactics on said stage. As for the 8-2. There are some matchup that steve just wins and its no question. There are mu in this game where you have little to no chance in the match. Lil Mac, dk, incini and ganondorf absolutely cannot beat steve and its arguably a 7-3 or a 8-2. Obv I dont use these characters, but we all know they're not winning if you put good players up against eachother. You really gotta brain blast, ultra outplay a steve in the worst possible condition to pull anything off. With the fact steve can mine off stage, build walls off stage which kills at 0% as a ledge gruard and can build to change the stage to negate approaches and lastly the nil combos. These characters have 0 answer to these which is why id put it 7-3 or 8-2. Steve has it easy. I dont think anyone else in the game can absolutely destroy a matchups like this.

Steve is the only character in the game who has 8-2 favorable matchups. The only reason these players switch their characters is because steve has a weakness of getting circle camped and out speeded. Everyone who counter picks as a steve main just picks up another top tier character that covers these weakness. It doesn't matter if steve players have secondaries if they can just destroy every tier of characters but top tier. Also steve is fundamentally different from all characters in smash. Picking him up requires a mindset change unlike mk brawl.

@Mr_RSmash 3. If Steve is as polarizing and carrying as you say, there shouldnt be ANY reason to switch to a worse character. Btw Aegis was not even in my mind, he goes GnW/Roy and had better wins than Mkleo in the past 3 years with them. Maybe you should work on your Mindset

@RatKingYeldarb Okay, then don't restrict the character just the player. They can't choose their own controls, they have to play one handed with their controller upside down, etc. Like if people are seriously considering rulesets where Steve doesn't get to ban stages there have to be workarounds

So like, I get banning Steve will apparently have Nintendo ninjas at your doorstop. But, what is stopping TO's from just "restricting" Steve in a way that effectively bans him? Like just say if you select Steve you have to set your handicap percentage to 300% and you get 1 stock?

Your telling me. You have to be touching metal to bend it ? When there are numerous characters bending things that are either not visible and near by ? Hasn't several characters proven that they can bend with minal movements, and from a long range distance? How does these rule apply to metal bending but not other elements ? If toph were able to improve her sand bending to the point she can replicate all ba sing se in one movement, even including basco. But she's not able to improve her metal bending ? Metal is still earth. If its earth she can feel and sense it.

@SHforlife56 @TmrwNevrComes To me if metal bending was improved and iterated on it would still be something you have to be touching to bend. Example I'm fine with the Spiderman wires cause they are touching them and are part of some armor they wear. Kuvira metalbending bracelets less acceptable/believable

Have we considered that since toph was the first person to actually do it and had a limited time with it she couldn't do anything with metal without first being close or making contact and than once she got better at it she could manipulate it better from his knowing it's there.
