Free Online Lecture: A resilient approach to navigating the winter blues Speaker: Prof Stephen Palmer  20th January 2026, 1-2pm  UWTSD Doctoral College Seminar Series The '#WinterBlues' is a popular term used by the public although it is not a medical condition. This presentation will consider the possible reasons for a mild, and temporary dip in mood, energy, and motivation that can happen during the winter months. Then the presentation will focus on practical, coping strategies including easy to use thinking skills to challenge any 'Winter Blues Thinking'. In the UK, some people have significant winter depression which is known as #SeasonalAffectiveDisorder (SAD).
