When my mother posted her first quilt on Facebook, none of her friends commented. It really upset her, even though the quilt is beautiful. I’m not sure why it happened, but I hope she doesn’t feel discouraged. Please remind her not to be sad and to keep going—she truly has talent.

@NataniaMarshall You do know that women were not allowed to take any credit for inventions, were not allowed to be on a building site...... There ONLY job was to raise children & run after men. IF you want to blame anybody for what women did not do - blame those responsible, men!

PUBLIC APPEAL. EVERY MOMENT MATTERS, HELP FIND EUNICE AMEH. I deeply express my concern over the unfortunate disappearance of Miss Eunice Ameh, who was reportedly last seen on the 6th of May, 2026, at about 5:40 PM, shortly after the close of work around Lake Chad Crescent, Maitama, Abuja, while heading towards Life Camp. This development is both painful and deeply troubling, not only to her family and loved ones, but to all members of society who value human life, safety, and dignity. Incidents such as this remind us of the urgent need for vigilance, compassion, and collective responsibility within our communities. I hereby appeal to residents of Abuja and the general public to assist with any useful information that may aid efforts to locate Miss Eunice Ameh. No information is insignificant. Anyone who may have seen her, interacted with her, or observed anything unusual around the stated location and time is kindly urged to promptly contact the nearest security agency or reach out to her family. I also respectfully call on the relevant security authorities to intensify efforts towards ensuring her safe and immediate return. In situations like this, every passing moment matters. May we all stand together in humanity, empathy, and solidarity until Eunice Ameh is found safe and reunited with her family. Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN, FCIArb (UK), Life Bencher Past General Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association.

Sadly my Mum passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of Monday morning. It’s been a really difficult few days since Friday. Her health deteriorated quite rapidly, but we were there with her. We’ll miss her so so much. 😢😔

Oh my God, how can I ever get over this s@d news of a woman who was trying to bring forth another life?🙄 😫 😩 From her sister, Read Please 👇👇👇👇 Ada has spent a night in the mortuary, and I’m still struggling to accept it. She passed away on the night of Tuesday, 21st April. Ada was blessed with two beautiful girls and became pregnant with her third child. She really hoped for a baby boy, and at her 16-week scan, it was confirmed—a baby boy. Her joy knew no bounds. She sent me the scan report and asked me to look at it myself and confirm what I saw. I was so excited—God had granted her heart’s desire. A few weeks ago, she sent me some pictures and said we would use them for her Birth announcement photos. I agreed. On Sunday the 19th, she told me she had already started packing her baby bag since she was 36 weeks pregnant. I had always advised her to prepare her bag after 35 weeks. We laughed and joked like we always do. We spoke on Monday night. Ada even posted on her WhatsApp status on Tuesday at 1:25 p.m. By 2 p.m., she called and also sent me a message: “Chi, I’m dying ooo… blaad everywhere.” I called immediately I saw her message. She picked up, and I told her not to panic too much—that our prince was on the way. I asked if her husband was on his way to take her to the hospital, and she said yes. I ended the call and called again a few minutes later. She picked up, and I asked her how she was feeling. She said, “I’m weak… I can’t talk again,” and the call dropped. I kept calling, but there was no answer. Shortly after, my elder sister called me. I quickly asked if our prince had arrived. She said not yet, but I should pray because she didn’t understand what the doctor was saying. I asked, “What do you mean?” She told me they were about to carry out a CS because the baby wasn’t breathing. I cried out and began to pray. I kept asking myself, “How will Ada handle this?” Eventually, the baby was delivered while Ada was still unconscious… but the prince was confirmed dèad Ada needed blaad ,Her body reacted to the first transfusion, so they had to stop it and continue with a properly matched one. After about an hour, she regained consciousness and asked about the baby. They gave her an excuse just to keep her stable. The next person she asked for was me. She called my sister and said, “Chioma kwanu?” My sister told her I had been checking on her. She said okay. After a while, her condition became unstable… and by 10 p.m., she passed on. I was still hoping to hear from her. I kept calling my sister to ask how she was doing, and she kept giving me reasons why Ada couldn’t see the baby yet—just to keep me calm. I kept checking all through the night, not knowing she was already gone. It was on Wednesday morning that my husband finally broke the news of her passing. I couldn’t believe it. I called her phone over and over again, but there was no answer. I'm grateful that my sister was with her during her final moments, since I couldn’t be there. She was surrounded by people who loved her, and people she loved. Ada didn’t completely leave us—she left behind two beautiful children who will always carry her memory. Though she is gone, the memories she created will live on forever. Rest in peace, my dear sister, Ada na eri ukwu anu 😭 With love, Chioma 💔
