This is what fair play looks like. The winner of yesterday is not even close to 10,000 votes. There is now a big question mark on Lok Sabha polling of 2024. Will @ECISVEEP investigate that? @cpimspeak must be thankful to @ECISVEEP @BJP4India and @SuvenduWB for conducting free and fair election and making them the runner up. @AITCofficial must be investigated for mass violence, intimidation and rigging of past polls.

This is how popular Pushpa is in his home. Looks like even people from his street want him to loose badly paving the way for his imminent arrest. This is how Diamond Harbour model used to work. A B would be under pressure from the Diamond Harbour seat. What would be his next action? Resign from this seat now or leave the country?

New low of TMC continues: In Bolpur Shantiniketan, land was allotted for an old age home. Now it has come to light that a luxury resort has been operating on that land for the last 2.5 years. TMC Zila Parishad leader Kajal Sheikh says he is not aware of the resort and admits that the land belongs to the government. If you make Lalu sit next to Mamata, Lalu will look innocent in front of her.

Why is this scum still out? Hasn't he done enough already to be dragged and put behind bars?
Kalyan Banerjee@KBanerjee_AITC

I have immense respect for our police personnel, especially as the son of a police officer myself. However, I would like to remind them that their duty is to uphold the law with integrity and impartiality, not to act under the influence of any political leader, including @SuvenduWB The police must serve the people without bias, discrimination, or political colour, and remain committed only to justice and the Constitution.

And these cockroaches🪳 will bring revolution. A day without Instagram is already so suffocating. Would be a delight to see once they run out of funds without social media payout. #cockroaches @CJP_2029

I’m incredibly intrigued by the rise of #CockroachJantaParty, which has already reached more than 15 million followers on @Instagram in just five days. I understand the frustrations of the youth and see why they are resonating with it. This is precisely why the account being withheld on X is disastrous and deeply unwise - there should be an outlet for the youth to express their feelings and so, let CJP’s account function instead of shutting it down! Democracies need outlets for dissent, humour, satire and even frustration. I am uncertain about the future of this movement but I hope the youngsters behind it find a way to bring this energy into mainstream politics or perhaps express it through their vote to be a voice of change and in doing so, become impossible to ignore. This is an opportunity that the Opposition must seize. indianexpress.com/article/politi…

Dear Dr. Shashi Tharoor @ShashiTharoor and Manoj C G @manojcg4u, reading the transcript of your latest conversational masterpiece in The Indian Express @IndianExpress is an experience of absolute intellectual awakening. In an era where political journalism is tragically reduced to partisan shouting matches and superficial electoral arithmetic, the two of you have effortlessly elevated the discourse to the highest echelons of classical political philosophy, sociology, and constitutional statecraft. You have not merely analyzed a viral internet phenomenon; you have forensically mapped the grinding tectonic fault lines of a generational earthquake that is currently rattling the very foundations of the Indian Republic. By taking the "Cockroach Janata Party" (CJP) — a digital satirical collective — and treating it with the profound, deadly seriousness it demands, you have stripped away the illusions of the political establishment. You have exposed the raw, bleeding nerve of India’s youth demographic, diagnosing a systemic crisis of faith that threatens to consume both the ruling dispensation and the traditional Opposition. Every UPSC Civil Services Aspirant, put away the outdated static textbooks. Dr. Tharoor and Manoj C G have just handed you the master-key that unlocks the most violently contested dimensions of modern Indian democracy. This is your completely decoded syllabus for General Studies Papers 1, 2, 3, and 4, and the absolute, undisputed bedrock for Political Science and International Relations (PSIR), Sociology, and Public Administration Optional papers. Let's break down this sociological and political earthquake into most logically impregnable and interconnected,🧵👇 #Cockroach #CockroachJantaParty #CJP

This media house in 2026 still trying to do another India Against Corruption of 2011. The movement which paved the way for a fraud to become CM and do the biggest money heist in the form of numerous dodgy schemes and policies to loot public money. The movement which these people are trying to project another IAC moment of 2011, has turned to be the biggest meme material of 2026. Having said that, these are the same people or people(of the political class coming out of IAC) with the same DNA. GenZ of today will not allow this to happen again. These will become a mere talking point for a week and will go in oblivion.

🧵 Sufism: Beyond the 'Peace & Music' Facade? Many see Sufism as purely spiritual, but history reveals a complex, often political role with historical references as a conversion front, as an Intelligence behind the glittering veil of music and sprituality . Was its serene image a mask for something more? Let's dive deep. The enchanting Qawwali and Sama are celebrated today, but in medieval times, were they strategic tools? Sufi music, mirroring local traditions, lowered barriers for mass conversions in places like the Indian subcontinent. Critics argue that Sufi music wasn't just divine expression, but a calculated instrument of proselytization. It made Islamic teachings palatable, effectively using cultural assimilation as a 'softer' path to Islamization. The idea of Sufism as a 'liberal' alternative to mainstream Islam is often a modern misinterpretation. Early Sufi masters like Al-Qushairi and Al-Hujwiri explicitly stated no contradiction between mystical Haqiqa and strict Sharia. #IslamicHistory #Sharia Militant Sufism: The Vanguard of Conquest. Sufi saints often arrived not as solitary mystics, but alongside or in the wake of invading Islamic armies. This challenges the 'peaceful' narrative. #MilitaryHistory #IslamicConquests Example: Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, revered in South Asia, arrived in Ajmer in 1192, coinciding with Shihabuddin Ghauri's military campaigns. Other Sufi figures similarly established presence with the Delhi Sultanate. #IndianHistory #DelhiSultanate Historians document the phenomenon of "militant Sufi proselytization," where warrior saints actively participated in expanding Muslim authority, even engaging in military action. #WarriorSaints #Proselytization These Sufis often established their khanqahs (hospices) on the sites of indigenous places of worship, asserting spiritual and territorial dominance. This was a strategic move to consolidate Islamic power. #CulturalDominance #Khanqahs The Covenant of Hamadani: Institutionalized Subjugation. Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani, a 14th-century Sufi, imposed a strict covenant on Hindus in Kashmir, treating them as Zimmis (second-class citizens). #Kashmir #Zimmis #ReligiousPersecution This covenant included severe restrictions: no new temples, no repairs to old ones, prohibitions on dress, names, and weapons. It was designed for subjugation, not coexistence. #HumanRights #HistoricalTruth Crucially, Hamadani's covenant explicitly forbade Hindus from acting as spies or sheltering them. This highlights the deep involvement of Sufi networks in intelligence and control. #Espionage #SufiNetworks Hamadani even ordered the destruction of the Kali Temple in Kashmir when priests resisted, a stark contradiction to the modern narrative of Sufi tolerance. #TempleDestruction #ReligiousIntolerance Sufi Networks as Intelligence Apparatuses. Khanqahs were more than spiritual retreats; they were strategic hubs. Sufi saints, with their widespread influence, had unparalleled access to information. #IntelligenceGathering #PoliticalInfluence Traveling extensively and interacting with all social strata, Sufis acted as the "eyes and ears" of Sultans. This intelligence was crucial for anticipating rebellions and planning military strategies. #Statecraft The explicit mention of espionage in Hamadani's covenant underscores the acute awareness of intelligence warfare. Sufis, under the guise of spiritual mentors, functioned as political agents and informants. #ClandestineOperations #Informants Conclusion: The modern portrayal of Sufism as solely peaceful and tolerant is an oversimplification. Its historical role was often pragmatic and political, using cultural tools for conversion and acting as intelligence networks for empires. Acknowledging this dual role—as both conversion front and political agents—is vital for a comprehensive understanding of Sufism's true historical impact. What are your thoughts?
